Curry ACCEL BSN program - Jan. 2014 start

Published

Hello, everybody!

Today was the deadline to apply to Curry's Accelerated BSN program (Jan. 2014 start).

I've applied, and now all is left to do is chew on the finger nails and wait for the first week of May to roll around.

Is there anybody else here in the same boat? Check in and say hello!

Nothing today.

ihealthy and 5guys, are you both local?

No letter for me and I live in Boston. The suspense is killing me!!!

Yes, about 40 minutes east.

Hi Pavolga, I am local, only 20-25mins away from Curry depending on traffic.

We'll see what tomorrow brings

I can't believe it... NOTHING! I wonder if they did go out yesterday?

Dang it! That probably means I won't get anything today either. I'm about 15-20 min from Curry.

They did say they send them May 1st right? People said they received them last year on the 2nd and 3rd.

I have news!! Just called Curry (3:50 PM). The letters went out today, NOT yesterday.

--They said the phone has been ringing off the hook.

I wish they could have notified us by email instead of having to wait for regular mail.

@tapeitup Thank you for calling in!!! That means I will not be hearing anything until next week since I am on the west coast! :(

Hi mapie! It's As friend. Ive been asking about you! So glad to hear you like it. How many hours do you need to study outside of class?

Hi tapeitup! I'm so sorry I didn't respond sooner; I just revisited for the first time today to see if everyone was getting their letters. Sorry they didn't come today. I know it's frustrating. I hope it comes for everyone tomorrow!

I really do love the program. And I say that, even with finals next week. ;)

I think the number of hours really varies, depending on the person and how they study best. I think you need to expect to study a lot during the weeks of exams, and anticipate spending time each week reviewing material and reading in textbooks. I think after the first round of exams, you get a really good sense of where you need to spend your time and how to prioritize the reading.

I wish you so much luck!
