Hello, everybody!
Today was the deadline to apply to Curry's Accelerated BSN program (Jan. 2014 start).
I've applied, and now all is left to do is chew on the finger nails and wait for the first week of May to roll around.
Is there anybody else here in the same boat? Check in and say hello!
Bump. Nobody else applied to Curry this year?

Hey there,
I applied too. I guess if we're the only two applicants then we should have no trouble getting in right? It's going to be a long month, that's for sure. Are you from Boston and or applying anywhere else?

Make it 3! So many applicants, so few spots
It's interesting that last year's Curry discussion was pretty lively, but people are lurking in the shadows this year.
Yes, at the info session, they said they expect to review anywhere from 250 to 300 applications to pick 30 for the Jan. 2014 cohort. My application fee check was just cleared yesterday. I guess it means the review process has started.
This April will be a loooong month for me. I officially banned all the family members from getting any mail from the mailbox. It's all MINE to sift through, until the Curry letter arrives :)
Hi, Dave -
I'm from the Southern suburb of Boston, and I'm literally a hop and a skip away from Curry (maybe, 15 min by car). What about you?
My check just cleared too. I also got a letter from Curry last week telling me they received all of my materials and my application was "under review." I keep hoping that they will send the letters early but judging from last year it's the first week of May. I am also from the Boston area, about twenty minutes from campus.

If it helps relieve any anxiety as the month goes on, I applied to Curry two years in a row. The first year, my rejection came on May 3rd. The next year, my acceptance came on May 2nd. So when they say they'll make their decision and send out letters on May 1st, they mean it. So start stalking that mailbox after May 1st. Good luck to you all! I remember how you feel all too well.
Thanks Mapie. How are you liking the program so far?
I absolutely love it! It is a lot of work, and a lot of info coming at you quickly, but that's to be expected in an accelerated program. The professors are great, and so are my classmates. I'm really happy I'm in the program.
Hi mapie! It's As friend. Ive been asking about you! So glad to hear you like it. How many hours do you need to study outside of class?
Mapie22, thank you for jumping in! I read last year's thread cover to cover a couple of times, and I remember reading your story. It's quite inspirational that you stuck with it, and that your perseverance paid off. I'm afraid to even imagine handling the disappointing news, but I'm trying to stay positive and hope I'll get in on the first try.
