Curry ACCEL BSN program - Jan. 2014 start

Published

Hello, everybody!

Today was the deadline to apply to Curry's Accelerated BSN program (Jan. 2014 start).

I've applied, and now all is left to do is chew on the finger nails and wait for the first week of May to roll around.

Is there anybody else here in the same boat? Check in and say hello!

I got my letter and unfortunately did not get in :( Good luck to the rest of you....maybe I'll see you next year!

Ok, I'm going to sit on my front porch now, waiting for the mailman.

Alleyoop, how far from Curry do you live? Hang in there, some spots are bound to open up.

No letter for me today too. Oh, the torture!... Called Curry on a whim to see if theywould give me any info over the phone. Of course, the couldn't, but the lady in the Continuing Ed was very nice, and confirmed that my letter did go out to the correct address.

I guess, nothing else to do, but wait another day and hope that I get it tomorrow.

Traceemarie, were you rejected or waitlisted?

i live in Newton.

thanks tapeitup and pavolga :) i am staying positive. if curry is not the place for me, somewhere else will be. hoping for good news for you all. i was actually waitlisted when i applied to this program back in 2006 but unfortunately never made it off.

No letter for me yet either, this waiting is killing me. Keep your heads up Traceemarie and Aleyoop, everything happens for a reason, i truly believe that, best of luck to you both. I think the town of Newton has their mail situation together and the rest of our towns are slacking. One day more.

I was rejected :( Trying to stay positive tho.

I'm so sorry Traceemarie! I've been rejected from a few other schools and it doesn't get easier but you do seem to become a bit numb to it, never give up, there is a place that will be right for you.

Klake, did you hear anything yet?

Where else did you apply in MA? I still have two pre-reqs that need to be completed, so I'll do those this fall and then apply again. Curry was the only school I applied to, but I guess I should broaden my scope.

I'm in the same boat with prereqs. I need 2 more for most of the other programs, my stats and chem II are more than 10 years old. I was accepted to Mass Bay's associate program for this fall. If I don't get into Curry, I will probably just do that. I have a family and that works well for me too. I only need the nursing classes, so it isn't a full course load. I had looked at MCPHS in Worcester and liked that program too.
