Hi tokmom, I have been following this Thread since I decided to get my BSN. I have learned quite a great deal of what to expect from the course based on the info that was discussed here. Like most of the learners, I dread the CLC projects :( . I have a very good and attentive enrollment counselor but can't saY the same thing for my advisor. I hope I can buddy up with someone on this journey mine , my start date is the 31st of March .Any insights, tips , recommendations on how I can make this work and family friendly ? ( wishful thinking :( Thanks !

Clarification: you can view only on Friday and the forum opens up for real on Monday.

Oh my that was a lot of info to digest! Luckily i don't have to take stats as i had previously taken that in college. I just switched from PC to MAC and is still learning how to navigate this thing as I am not tech davy at all. Trying to learn how to work the powerpoint and if iall fails ill have my high schooler help me out. Is there a paper due very week or do you have the option of doing a power point presentation?

Thanks for your help!

Nope, it's either or. Some weeks you may have both due.

My high school kids helped me out with Word and power point!

Hi, I am just finishing up the first class. My first CLC wasn't bad..if everyone does their portion the CLC project is less work than an essay in my opinion. So far the workload has been doable. I do have less free time but that was to be expected. I'm sure after a few classes I'll be requesting a 2 week break lol

I have two classes left after the one I am about to start on Monday. I've had a great experience and plan to go for my Masters next. I have learned so much. I have mastered APA thanks to all the papers you have to write. Curious about the capstone also. I have not liked the CLC projects simply because I usually, with the help of about one other, end up doing it all my self so that it gets done and is done correctly. I've had some great instructors. Only 2 I wouldn't want back and have put them on a list. My friend had a bad experience with one instructor in the Master's program and I have put her on my list to avoid as well. The rest of my teachers have been helpful and actually caring. It is a great program. Every school has "those instructors" that give the rest a bad name but I have only had two. Good luck with your studies.

From what people tell me is the capstone is built by the weekly papers you do, and then you sort of put them all together. I guess I shall see. I start the capstone on April 21!

Email me at [email protected] and I will address your question in the private message you left me. I do not have enough posts to send a private message yet.
