current CNA pay 2015

Hi,

I'm very curious what's the current CNA pay in your area? I just accepted a position where I make $15 on weekends and $12 base pay. I found that extremely rare since I never made that much as a CNA. In my area, the norm is $9.50 to maybe $12 as the high in Tampa Bay.

I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. CNAs at my workplace (a specialty hospital) start at $12 hourly. CNAs at the local nursing homes typically start out in the $10 to $11 range per hour.

Where I used to work, in Minnesota I made $16/hr. In Columbus, OH the base CNA pay is about $10/hr

Holy crap that's a lot.

When I started it was $13/hr but the staffing was incredibly short so they raised it

Currently I am making $17.27 here in the phoenix area. Started at $15.35 a little over 3 years ago.

I think it varies because I was working at a Banner facility and after almost 12 years there I left earning only $14/hour.

good to see cna's starting to do away with the $9 zone

I'm in Dallas and I started out at 11.89 over a year ago, they've been progressively increasing the "minimum" pay for CNAs at our company and now I make $12.10

Is that a nursing home?

i am in oklahoma, and i make 15 an hour. BUT. i work through an agency. if i were to work in a nursing home, i would make around 9-10 dollars an hour, if i were a hospital employee..11 an hour.

The hospital I work at has one of the highest pay rates in the area for CNAs. I make $16.42/hour base pay, plus shift differentials and pro-rated benefit options. I worked at an ALF until July and made $11/hour with no benefits offered.

I live in the Rochester, NY area and work at a nursing home. Been there for 5 years and currently making $12.75 an hour.

I think it depends on the area to be honest. Nursing homes here in western ky pay 7.60-9 for srnas (Cna). Hospitals start pcas around 10. Nurses around here start around 23-27 an hour.
