Cool! I wonder when we will hear back? Is this your first time applying?

I'm guessing shortly after the June 15th due date. I just noticed that nursingCAS messed up my transcript so hopefully it hasn't been looked at yet haha. It's my first time but I'm planning that it's not my last haha. I'm going to apply to the traditional program too! How about you?

Oh shoot lol i'm sure it will be fine. This is my first time too, but I already have my B.S. & Masters in Anatomy. So I am hoping I get in this time. I heard its really competitive though. Definitely will not apply to the traditional program.

Yeah my grades aren't where I would love them to be, the program I studied was pretty tough. I work as a medical laboratory scientist at an affiliated CU hospital and some other health care experiences so I'm hoping that will help! I also worked forever on my essay and I'm happy with it. I heard this program ways that pretty heavily I'll do either program and both has pros and cons. I like the idea of being able to work prn at my job during the traditional program! But getting it all done sooner rather than later is also desirable

Hi all,

I am happy I found this thread! I know its been less than a week since the deadline but I am very anxious to hear about my application :) Anyone knows when we might hear something?

Hey guys!

My name is Nila. I applied to the UCAN program as well and am so nervous/excited to find out if I got an interview. Anyone have any idea when we will find out?? Good luck to all of you! :)

Hi Nila,

I was told we should know the status of our applications by July 1. Im very anxious to hear the news.

Hello Everyone!

I am am currently waiting to hear if I get an interview, also. After reading the feeds from 2016 and 2017, I am more nervous that I may not be the strongest candidate...but my fingers are crossed.

Good luck to all of you! We should hear from the program at the beginning of July!

Liz

Hey everyone,

I also applied for the UCAN 2018 cohort. Still anxiously waiting to hear about interviews!

Liz, this is also something I worry about. I do not have much healthcare experience at all. I cared foe a lady with Alzheimer's for a year (which I even forgot to mention anywhere in my application) and have a volunteer experience caring for children in overseas orphanages. I am just now in the process of getting my CNA certification. My previous degrees are in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. So, when I look at past year's posting of applicants and everyone who posted here who had years of healthcare experience, degrees that are better related to nursing, my thoughts are: why am I even applying? It is stressful to wait for that email notification :) All I know I do really want to become a nurse and this is why I applied :) I wish everyone the best and hope we will all get invited for an interview. We will know soon!

Kate

Thank you, Kate, for your reply. I am glad that someone else is in the same boat í ½í¹‚ I guess that it is easy to read others' posts and compare myself to what they have done, but I want to become a nurse bad enough that I will apply to the conventional program if I do not get into this program. Good luck! í ½í¹‚
