CU Denver Nursing Spring 2012

U.S.A. Colorado

Anyone else out there apply for CU Denver Nursing Spring 2012 start? I applied, having issues with my account saying incomplete but the school says all is good.

Going nuts this morning thinking about how long I have to wait to find out. First I was told letters would go out mid August, now they are saying late August. But I see people from previous years not finding out till early October. Crossing my fingers for mid August as Fall semester starts August 23 and plan to take courses if I don't get in or don't hear back from them.

Let me know if any of you hear back or have details that I may not know about the process. Hope everyone else is doing well during this waiting period.

Hi everyone!

I just got my acceptance letter for the Spring 2012 accelerated BSN at CU Denver! I'm still in shock, but so excited! Has anyone else received an acceptance letter? I'd love to hear from some of my future classmates!! :)

Got my letter in the mail today....Didn't get in :( good luck to everyone else!

Oh I'm sorry to hear that :( I haven't gotten mine yet but I am sure that I'm in the same boat! Good luck to you wherever you go!

I got my letter too. I can't believe it either. I'll see you in class.

Got my letter in the mail today. Got into the accelerated program. Still in shock.

I got denied too. Starting a different program in Baltimore this fall. Good luck to you all at CU!

For those who got accepted CONGRATULATIONS!!! For those of you that didn't...DO NOT GIVE UP; originally I was not accepted for the Summer '11 program but then was called in April being offered a slot in the the Traditional Program. I was never put on a wait list either. Many people that I met this summer were just like me; originally got "rejected" but then were called with an opening. I have nothing but great things to say about the program.

Good luck to all of you.

For those that got into a program at CU Denver, would you mind saying what your GPA was, and/or Pre-Req GPA?

I am wondering where I stand, and whether it would be beneficial to take a few classes, raise my GPA, and then re-apply for the next term.

I was accepted for the traditional program!!! Im so excited!! Congrats to all of you as well and if you were not accepted, do not give up!!

Congrats to all that were accepted!

My page did update from saying that it was incomplete this week and now says that it is being reviewed. I have not received a letter yet.

For those of you that did... when did you get it and where do you live? I live in Golden so maybe that is why there is a delay.

What program did you apply for? I see some say accelerated but one traditional.

This is torture!

i live in greenwood village and will be doing the accelerated program :)

I applied to accelerated but got into the traditional. Finally read my acceptance letter late last night and realized that I was accepted into the traditional and not accelerated.

My overall GPA was 3.1. My pre-reqs GPA was 4.0. I live in Aurora and got my letter yesterday. I have my CNA license but only worked for about a month before I left caregiver job. So even if your GPA is low and you have no healthcare experience you can get in. The essay is key.
