Anyone else out there apply for CU Denver Nursing Spring 2012 start? I applied, having issues with my account saying incomplete but the school says all is good.
Going nuts this morning thinking about how long I have to wait to find out. First I was told letters would go out mid August, now they are saying late August. But I see people from previous years not finding out till early October. Crossing my fingers for mid August as Fall semester starts August 23 and plan to take courses if I don't get in or don't hear back from them.
Let me know if any of you hear back or have details that I may not know about the process. Hope everyone else is doing well during this waiting period.
I got my accpetance letter!!! I'll be in the traditional program! I am so excited and can't believe it because I was supposed to be moving to Omaha to start their program just in case I didn't hear from CU in time, or in case I didn't get in! See my fellow classmates in January!
For those that got into a program at CU Denver, would you mind saying what your GPA was, and/or Pre-Req GPA?
I am wondering where I stand, and whether it would be beneficial to take a few classes, raise my GPA, and then re-apply for the next term.
I applied to the traditional program and found out that I got in. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.96. I was a stress bucket though becuase I know they don't accept some people with 4.0's. Good luck!
I wanted to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all that were accepted. To all that were not accepted, I feel for you, all the while feeling very confident that sooner or later you all will live out your dreams of being accepted to a program that will help you become a GREAT nurse! I too applied for the Jan 2012 start date and was rejected and put on a call list (as was a friend of mine) I remain hopeful that I get that "special " call but, if not my plans b and c are going into full effect! If theres anyone else who were call listed please do share, I thought all who were denied were automatically put on the call list , I just learned that is not the case, and I'm starting to feel alone as I have developed this paranoia over my phone and unknown numbers! LoL

I had a cumulative GPA of 3.8 from Wake Forest University in North Carolina and a 4.0 pre-req GPA and I applied for the accelerated program. I really think the essay is a key part of the admissions decision too!
I received my letter this morning. I was also put on the call list I guess it could be worse but the torture continues. I wonder how many other people are on the list as well.
I am guessing the people that have been accepted have a deadline to accept and make a deposit...? Does anyone know this date? Or any other details that would be helpful?

I applied to the traditional only. Maybe they looked at the accelerated first.... at least that is what I am hoping!:)
