  1. My interview in Denver was similar, mostly clinical questioning but it wasn't as intimidating as I had expected. I actually just got called this afternoon and accepted a spot at the University site in Denver!
  2. Just this morning. I'm guessing some people had turned down interviews and I must have been next on the list.
  3. I'm also interviewing in Denver on the 12th. Anyone have any idea on how many people they interview for each spot? 2 or 3?
  4. I'm right there with you ez_rn ! No phone call still, and my application status still says route
  5. In case anyone is still wondering....I am a student at DSN and we found out yesterday that we have been granted NLNAC accreditation. It is good for the next 5 years which is the maximum amount of time they will grant it for. Exciting news!
  6. I am a first quarter student at DSN and I am loving it so far. I also read those negative reviews about the school before I started but had heard from students that it was a great school, and I can now say I agree with them. DSN also received accreditation from the NLNAC yesterday which is very exciting. Good luck in October!
  7. The interview went well! The interview part was very quick, he only asked me a few questions. I also got a tour of the building, saw classrooms and walked down the street to the annex building and saw all the labs. Overall, it was a pretty laid back meeting. He made it clear that it is an accelerated, full time program and he went over their status of being accredited and wanted to make sure I understood all of it. I signed up to take the HESI on April 4th, so I will post how that goes as well.
  8. I am also interviewing for the July start date coming up in a few weeks! I won't be commuting, I live only a few minutes from the school. When is your interview scheduled for? I would love to hear how it goes if its before mine on the 22nd.
  9. I have been researching this school for some time now, deciding on whether or not I should apply and attend. I finally decided to apply for the July start date and was feeling pretty good about my decision based on the reviews on this website. However, I recently have came across some reviews online that are making me change my mind. There are quite a few recent reviews from students stating how unprofessional and horrible the school is. Many of them say they are transferring and would not reccomend the school to anyone. Yikes! Heres the website: Denver School of Nursing - Student Reviews Are there any current or recent DSN students that would say the same thing? Or anyone who has attended DSN in the past year that would have something positive to say about the school? After reading those reviews I want to make sure I am attending a decent school and I wont be getting myself into a mess by attending DSN. Any info helps, thanks!

  11. I am looking for some information from recent Denver School of Nursing graduates. I am considering applying for the program but I am wondering what kind of jobs new DSN graduates are getting? And how DSN grads felt about the program, their clinicals, etc? Any information from DSN grads would be great!
  12. For those that got into a program at CU Denver, would you mind saying what your GPA was, and/or Pre-Req GPA? I am wondering where I stand, and whether it would be beneficial to take a few classes, raise my GPA, and then re-apply for the next term.
  13. Does anyone know the status of DSN's accreditation? I think the most recent posts said they would probably know in June. And does anyone know what kind of jobs DSN grads are getting recently? Or if they are having a harder time getting jobs competing with other new nursing grads? Any info would be helpful, thanks!
  14. Does anyone know if you must have pathophysiology completed before you apply to Metro's Accelerated Program?? It is the only pre-requisite I have not taken. I am also wondering where people have taken pathophysiology at? Or if they only accept the pathophysiology course offered at Metro? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Congrats! Its very encouraging to hear that you can still be accepted at UCD even while being rejected at other schools. I also do not have the highest undergrad GPA, and thought that UCD only accepted students with GPA's above a 3.0? Did you apply any ways even though your GPA wasn't exactly at a 3.0? If this is the case, I may consider applying to UCD as well.
