Has anyone seen this addendum on the nursing curriculum packet page 9 for the 2017-2018 school year? I'm really, really hoping they're not adding any more prerequisites because I'm chomping at the bit to leave my current career and another year would be so hard!
"Based upon current curriculum planning these course requirements may change slightly, once finalized a transition plan will be put into place."
I swear I hope I get to be classmates with you nursetobeeCT. I could already tell if we make it we are gonna be sooo good. Im ancy right with you.
I'm trying for NVCC but thanks for the compliment :) I can see we both want this very badly and if we do get lucky enough to get in we will super appreciate it and stay in! I figured there wouldn't be much movement yet but that didn't sound like no movement so lets just keep crossing everything!
I spoke with N. Casey at capitol about the LPN-RN articulation. She said they are not sure if they are still doing it at capitol, and if you decide to wait, and they are not following through with the program you will no longer have a nursing seat in the program. They said if they do decide to do it it's only a very few will be put in it..so I'll will be starting in fall, the way she sounds I'm not taking a chances
I think they do it by ranking. They call you in order, as accepted applicants decline their spot or people on the waitlist decline their spot. Every year they take people off the waitlist it just a matter of how many. I talked to the nursing director at NVCC and she said it happens all summer long up to August 10th. People decide to go to other schools and LPNs decide to bridge in the third semester, and some dont meet deadlines or fail the drug test, background checks etc or don't meet the ap 2 grade.

Thank you! I really hope they'll call me...

I'm having the same problem with CCC!! In all of our info it says to contact them immediately about it, and I can't get anyone to get back to me with any helpful information. The answer I got from LPN- RN advisor 2 weeks ago was "Unfortunately, I don't have any information on that." The bridge course at Charter Oak starts in 4 weeks!! I wonder if they're waiting to see how many people confirm their spot by the 5/1 so they know how many candidates they're dealing with?
