Has anyone seen this addendum on the nursing curriculum packet page 9 for the 2017-2018 school year? I'm really, really hoping they're not adding any more prerequisites because I'm chomping at the bit to leave my current career and another year would be so hard!

"Based upon current curriculum planning these course requirements may change slightly, once finalized a transition plan will be put into place."

@xoCrash, Awesome! that way you can just focus on the nursing classes/labs/clinicals, that's ideal!

@esrun326, thank you!! I certainly hope so :) I'm just hoping I'll be able to get into a micro class that will work with the nursing schedule!

@Tesha860, OH I AM SO HAPPY YOU LOOKED AT IT AGAIN!! Thank goodness you did! I would have reacted the exact same way- deep breaths now :)

So over the weekend I was sent a letter that was ineligible for the nursing program for fall and I did not have all the requirements.. OMG..After crying my eyes:no::cry: out I read he email fully and realized, The requirement in question was made in error and I just have to show proof. The letter said I did not sent my official transcripts from another college, Which I DID!! and i forward the email of confirmation. The told me to send an e-transcript and everything should be fine....:)I have never been so stressed in my life!!!!

i feel so bad that happened to you! Did all your requirements show as "met" on commnet? Mine all day met.

Guys the real count down is starting to begin! 2-3 more weeks until we find out.

I hear Univerisity of Bridgeport applicants have already found out. (A couple of my classmates in my micro class have already gotten their decisions)

I am getting so nervous each day that passes. í ½í¸«í ½í¸«

Did those UB applicants get in? Waitlist? Denied? I did not get anything yet.

2 were accepted and one was denied because her TEAS score was a 60 and the other is still waiting for a decision. The funny thing about it is, one of the girls that were accepted had a lower GPA than the girl that wasn't accepted but happened to score higher on her TEAS. I guess UB looks at TEAS scores more than GPA.

@FutureRN_2019 I certainly hope that is true...I only have a 3.3 nursing GPA but my TEAS score was an 86.7 so I'm hoping that being a male/having a good TEAS result will get me accepted if my GPA is looked down upon.

If your applying to UB have faith! The girl that didn't get accepted had a GPA of 3.7 with a 60 on her TEAS and the other girl that was accepted had around a 3.4-3.5 with a 68 on her TEAS!

You never know what each school is looking at more.

Good luck!

Not sure if registration has started for classes. Been watching to see when they release courses for next Fall. Looks like they did says Nursing 101 has room for 125 students next Fall.

Taking Micro and AP2 now. I don't find Micro to be challenging. A few issues I had was I haven't used a scope in 8 years and took a few weeks of re learning how to use a scope. The scope is important ha. Some days we are doing more than 3 labs, not often, that is intense your just fried by the end.

Lectures are straight through. Did okay think a B on the first one. Will admit I failed the 2nd test. The 2nd test was a lot of repetitive knowledge from other classes. I will admit I struggle, it's a learning curve, with 4 chapters then a test. That week I had micro and ap exam. AP2 exam was postponed due to snow. Just studying 8 to 10 chapters of various information with micro and AP2 was tough.

Mostly it's straightforward. With my class about 6 to 8 weeks of Micro intro. Now starting to get into areas where can relate to real world like viruses.

Really is about time management and deep breathing, ha.

I'm trying to convince myself that at this point no news is good news.. right? Has anyone else heard about any people hearing that they didn't get in or is it just people that didn't meet the minimum requirements?

Yo

i think so far only ineligible applicants would have heard something.

I know because I got that "application deemed ineligible" email a while back. I had to follow upand The program director hit me back saying they updated my application pretty much the next day. If I had no chance, would they even have bothered? I have to think they wouldn't, given the obscene amount of applicants.

3.5 nursing gpa,

As in Both anatomys, and 86.7 on the new teas for anyone wondering

I am taking micro and APII together now! I actually have my second test in Micro tomorrow and I am super nervous. My first test for AP didn't go as well as I have hoping but my teacher is cruving our grades so, I'll be okay. I did amazing on my first micro test! Micro isn't actually hard at all just a lot of memorization
