  1. I only bought the ATI practice tests from the actual website. It allows you to take the four sections 2 times each. It wasn't really a study method but more so a way to gauge how prepared you are for the actual exam given that the practice tests are created by the actual company that creates the TEAS you will be taking. I highly reccomend doing so!
  2. For anyone attending Gateway - Aside from the Schedule for Exams and the reading assignments/schedule for the first two weeks...Did we receive anything in our email in regards to a full syllabus/schedule? I have only received those two documents and was thinking there would be a little more detailed schedule and/or syllabus. Maybe they'll give it to us on the first day of lecture but I have no clue at this point. Anyone attending Gateway have any idea?
  3. Yes both emails say background check. You are going to Gateway as well, correct? Have you taken the drug screen yet and/or do you know when we have to or when they are going to ask us to do so? I have no idea when or what to expect...
  4. Yeah we are doing everything through castlebranch as well but I even went ahead and called CT League of Nursing and asked if it needed to be completed by June 1st and she said no you just have to register for it by June 1st and then they will let you know when...so confusing!! I appreciate your responses tho I guess I'll have to go ahead and call my advisor on Tuesday.
  5. @nursetoBeeCT I know we have to register for it by June 1st but im referring to the deadline that the actual drug screen needs to be completed by. I'm not sure if they did tell you at NVCC that it does need to be registered for AND completed by June 1st but at gateway I asked my advisor that question and he said they would give us a sheet of paper after we registered by June 1st and then we had 3 days to take it from that date. He was very unspecific about the actual date we would be requested to take it saying "we aren't sure yet - could be sometime in May could be sometime in June".
  6. If you were waitlisted at a number very close to the end of all applicants for the CTCCNP like I believe I read you were on a prior post, you have an extremely limited chance of getting into an accelerated program which is far more competitive than that of a community college program. I've advised you before on a previous thread, don't waste your time with prerequisites for other programs...simply retake AP 1 and 2 and do your absolute best to get As in them and you will be competitive. On a side note - starting a thread every other week on this website isn't going to get you where you want to be. There is only so much you can ask on a forum and the only thing that can truly help you get into the occupation you wish to be in is hard work and perseverance.
  7. does anyone know when when we have to complete the drug screening? I know we have to be registered for it by June 1st but don't know when we have to have it completed by...my advisor said they would let us know when we need to go take it but haven't heard anything yet. Anyone know anything about this??
  8. Does anybody know when they are going to have us take the drug test? I met with my advisor yesterday and he said the registration period starts from may 1st and ends june 1st and that after you register they will request it and you have three days to go to the lab to complete it. I am just wondering whether it is going to be after june 1st or earlier. Anyone have any idea??
  9. To be honest you are wasting a lot of money and time trying to satisfy all of those pre requisites for multiple programs. Those classes you listed above are difficult, and the programs that you are trying to apply and be accepted into are looking for As in all of the pre requisites and you won't be a competitive applicant getting any less. You should really just retake the TEAS aiming for at least an 80 as well as re take AP1 and get an A. Should you successfully complete both of those two objectives you will be very competitive in terms of getting into the CTCCNP.
  10. I'm not entirely sure...I have to look more into the acceptance documents. Also all of the information sessions from now until we start will definitely clear anything up.
  11. Nevermind, they are up now under the Decisions tab.
  12. I just looked again and decisions are under the Nursing Decisions tab. I was accepted. Good luck to the rest of you!
  13. I was accepted into Gateway's program! The notification saying congratulations was under the Nursing Decisions tab and not the Required Items tab...SO RELIEVED
  14. I haven't heard anything yet no. I think they posted them earlier but it was at the wrong time for some reason so they took them down.
