CT-CCNP 2019/2020 APPLICATION

Published

I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...

Teas: 86.7

GPA: 3.27

AP1: B-

??

I’m applying into the CT-CCNP too! My first choice is NVCC. My stats are:

A&P I: B+
TEAS: 77.3% (without studying)
GPA: 3.32

I am currently taking a psychology course and microbiology course with expectation that I will receive As in both by December! My nursing GPA has the potential to go up to a 3.44! I am retaking TEAS in November. I really hope to score much higher at least 85%+ with devoted studying time. Good luck to everyone!

Unfortunately I have taken all my prerequisites. All I can do at this point is retake my teas and get a higher score. Do you know if AP I is included in the total nursing gpa calculation or it stands alone for the 25%?

All the best in your remaining classes and your teas.? I pray we get in.

Hello everyone, I will be applying to Naugatuck Valley and Godwin.

These are the classes i took so far;

A&P I - A

A&P II - A

Computers -A

English 101 - B+

Math 137 "online" - A

General Psychology- A

Sociology - A

Communications - A

I will be taking chem in the fall. And my teas after.

@hserwaa

A&P I is included in the overall Nursing GPA and it accounts for the 25%. I hope we get in too! Your TEAS score is great though! You may be accepted into the lotto if anything, you never know until you try.

@Monique C Mclean your Nursing GPA is phenomenal! Did you plan on applying this upcoming cycle? The admission requirements for all CT-CCNP includes chemistry to be completed prior to February 1st of 2020 deadline. You're very competitive overall. Good luck in your remaining classes and TEAS!

I will be applying this cycle.

@increasedmonoamines thanks! I'm leave the rest to fate. It's too late to do anything about those grades. If I dont get in, I'll take AP1 and Chem all over again. Those are the two courses affecting my gpa. I will apply to CCSU too, who knows.

@Monique C Mclean your grades are awesome! You will definitely get in. I was looking at getting into Goodwin this year but after taking 4 classes this spring, they put me in a whole lot of financial mess. Goodwin is not for me, can't afford them.

Thank you very much! You are looking pretty decent too. I can say the same about Goodwin. Im really hoping to get into NVCC its much cheaper. Keep in mind that each year the GPAs varies so you still have a fighting chance.

A&P 1: A-

Teas: 78.7% (Retaking again to try for an 80)

Nursing GPA: 3.30

I retook a couple courses this summer to raise my gpa from a 3.0. I was waitlisted last year at Gateway pretty far down the list. I'm trying to figure out if I will have a better shot applying to Gateway or Capital this time.
