When Will The NLC Be Implemented

I have a question about implementation of the Nurse Licensure Compact in Connecticut. The NCSBN says that Connecticut nurses can apply for a compact license on October 1, 2025:

I have also read (many times although nothing is posted on the official BON website) that October 1 is only an effective date, and that implementation may take up to another year. Does this mean that you can submit your application in October, but may not actually get a compact license until 2026? If anyone works for the BON or knows the facts about this situation, please post about it. Thanks!

    Nurse Licensure Compact

    The CT governor signed the NLC into law in May 2024. The implementation is ready and will become active on Oct. 1, 2025.

    It's official. My Compact license is now good in Connecticut.
