CT-CCNP 2019/2020 APPLICATION

Published

I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...

Teas: 86.7

GPA: 3.27

AP1: B-

??

@psybeaute Haha I am glad I am not alone to! That is a good score! And I am also taking the TEAS next week and again in January since it can be hard to prepare for.

Hello!

Here are my stats:
A&P: B+
Nursing GPA: 2.9

TEAS: 73% (retaking since my nursing gpa is already not competitive enough)

I got a B.A in psych in 2012 so most of my courses were transferred, I took the remaining sciences I was missing this past year and a half. Still waiting on my microbiology prof to post my final grade.

I’m really nervous, especially because I’ve pretty much put all my eggs in this basket. I know there are other options like an accelerated BSN but those are even more competitive and limited around this area. My plan is to get my ASN, gain some experience as an RN for a few years and then do an RN-MSN in psychiatric mental health nursing. I also just completed a CNA course and got a job as a CNA, figured it’s a good way to get a feel of health care while having a flexible work schedule around school.

Hi everyone!
I applied to NVCC

Nursing GPA: 3.76

AP I: A

Teas: 88

Good Luck you will definitely get in. I'm a little doubtful I didn't do too well on my teas. My percentage is a 14% out of 25 %. I applied anyways, now I'm hoping for the best.

Overall GPA: 3.90

A&P 1: A

Nursing GPA: 3.88

Teas: 56.0%

Thank you so much! Your GPA is really high, you’re probably still good! I’m not sure if you know but at NVCC you can take the Teas as many times as you want if you’re worried. It was so hard though, I’m still shocked I got what I did.

Someone that graduated a few years ago had a 4.0 and the lowest grade possible on teas and wasn’t even waitlisted!

I'm considering it. But based on what I have heard from past testers it's almost impossible to score much higher. I'm not even sure how to study to get a higher grade.

I did a combo of you tube review videos, the apps, and the ati secrets book on Amazon. I’ve heard the opposite! A lot of people bomb the first time Bc stress and study and do amazing! You know what’s best, you’re obviously smart!

Hi! I applied to NVCC. My nursing GPA is a 3.78, I have an A in A&P1, and got a 66.7 on the teas (second attempt). That score has me so discouraged ? Good luck everyone ??

Your GPA is awesome! Half the battle right there. That's the TEAS score I got too on my first attempt. Second attempt 66.7%. ?‍♀️ Good Luck!!!
