Anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Summer of 2021? I know it's early, but their priority deadline is Septmber 30th, 2020. I was hoping we could consolidate questions/info on this thread as we go along.
I have one more prereq to go (anatomy this Summer) before my app is complete. Where is everyone else at in the process?

I got my evaluation back, EXACTLY 6 weeks after they got my application. I got it through my email. Now the count down begins until the deadline to find out who gets in. ?
Yay congrats!! So I still haven’t been able to figure out what’s up with mine, do you mind telling me if yours was complete? Did it have the points score? I’m debating on contacting them again ?
It took mine 8 weeks! But that's because it took an extra week or two for my last transcript to go through. Also got it via email! Mine was complete (minus three of the classes we are supposed to take during the program) and it was scored. I got a 43, so I'm feeling confident but I know it's going to be super competitve since Spring applicants (like I was originally) will be applying and I feel like Spring is always extra competitive

43 is a great score! I don’t think you have anything to worry about LOL
Thank you! I'm low key contemplating waiting for Fall 2021 since CSUSM main campus would be less of a drive for me and it would only be a few months behind , but I also just kind of want to start and I feel like now they'll put our lectures online anyways so less driving. If anyone has input on that, would love it! For reference, I live in Mira Mesa since that's where my partner and I work!

I would contact them, mine had everything on it. It did say if for whatever reason your prenursing core requirments weren't met, they wouldn't calculate points, only GPA. Are all your pre nursing courses done? If so, I'd contact them again.

Congrats! I'm at a 42. If San Marcos is closer to you, it would make it easier, but from what I'm gathering from other threads, classes are all on one day (maybe 2). You'll be commuting anyways for clinical, so if you want to start sooner, than just sit tight for the Summer. It would also be nicer in terms of the program to start in Summer. That way, only one Summer session includes clinicals, vs two. In the Summer you have more clinicals per week due to the shorter semester. That's how I'm looking at it anyways. I live in temecula so it works out for me.

That's a great point I didn't even consider, thanks! Also, congrats on the score!!

I also have been told (don’t hold me to it) that Temecula campus is easier to get into because most people don’t want to drive that far from SD etc.
Hi Deval, do you know how many days a week you will have clinicals? I applied to Temecula because Of the location, and I'm trying to guess how many days I might have to commute to San Diego for clinicals.
Anyone is welcome to chime in if they have an idea, I'd really appreciate it ☺
Thanks!
