CSUSM ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Looking to apply this month for Summer 2020! Anyone else on the same boat? I am currently taking my last class so I expect to update my transcript when grades are posted mid-Decemeber. Anyone from previous cohorts had an issue with this?

I'm a little anxious about my points- I'm in the low 30s but hopefully it will be less competitive in Summer/fall!

I just got notified about our email addresses for the school, and my portal now says 'ready to enroll' under application status...will they provide more information on this and do you remember when they informed you about orientation or any other requirements?

Orientation will be the Friday before classes start (could change but that’s what it normally is) but soon you will get an email explaining complio which is the site you upload your health information to. It’ll have you pay for your drug test, background check, and the ability to store your info. Then you will be able to print your forms to fill out and upload all of your requirements

It's been a week since the first wave went out, so that round has one more week to accept or decline acceptance before the second wave goes out I believe

I just talked to someone and She told me that first wave went out but more waves are to come and said we could find out any time up until the day the summer program starts which was interesting to hear and kinda annoying but I guess people wait to drop out. Another thing many of you might be interested to hear is that if u were thinking of filling out the application for fall and paying that’s not necessary they automatically push over your application to the next cycle which is so cool seems like they are the only school I’ve seen that does that and doesn’t make you pay again all that.

I spoke to my counselor on Wednesday and she said the second wave will go out in 1-2 weeks!

I thought so too but this is just what she told me! Not really sure why they need more time since they probably already have us in order from greatest to least amount of points.

I’m sure it’s because those that were accepted in the first wave have until next week to accept or decline. How many acceptances offered in the second wave will most likely depend on how many of those candidates accepted or not.

Before I submitted my intent to enroll, they sent me a reminder email letting me know I have until the 13th to make a decision. So I'm sure the second wave will be soon after that. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!!
