CSUSM ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Looking to apply this month for Summer 2020! Anyone else on the same boat? I am currently taking my last class so I expect to update my transcript when grades are posted mid-Decemeber. Anyone from previous cohorts had an issue with this?

I'm a little anxious about my points- I'm in the low 30s but hopefully it will be less competitive in Summer/fall!

Did you apply before or after the deadline (dec 4)? I also have 36 points and mine changed this morning. If I'm not mistaken, you hear back first if you applied before the deadline and if any from the 60 students that are admitted, declines their offer or doesn't respond, then a second wave would get admitted.

I got accepted! I just found out an hour ago! Mine says "conditionally accepted" because I'm still working on my degree though. Also, mine says "Summer application withdrawn" and I got accepted for Fall 2020! I was talking to a lot of previous ABSN students and they said that they move you since your degree isn't conferred yet. I'm hoping they move me back to summer so I can meet all of y'all! To those accepted, congratulations! To those still waiting, GOOD LUCK!

I just got accepted! I had 34 points and was a rollover applicant from the spring cohort. Congrats everyone!!

Did u get accepted after 5 pm! I assumed they wouldn’t admit after 5

I didn't get off work until 5 so I checked when I got home and posted a few minutes after noticing the update on my portal. I'm guessing it changed between 4 and 5?

Did you take the 3 classes of the first semester already? They don’t usually accept for the next cohort until they send out all the acceptances. But if you already took those three classes you won’t start until fall but you’ll still be in the summer cohort if that makes sense!

last summer's average was 29 uggggghh I'm getting discouraged

I took Biology of Nutrition and Disease last year and I’m currently taking Biomedical Ethics and the anthropology class this semester! I really want to be accepted for the summer cohort though!
