Hi everyone! I've been following a lot of the previous threads for CSUSM's ABSN program. I'm finally ready to apply for the Fall 2019 semester, so I figured I should start this thread and talk to the rest of you who are in the same boat! :) I currently just have to take the TEAS, which I'm signed up to take next week! Has anyone already submitted their apps yet?

I’m in the same boat as you, been waiting since December 2018 due to transcript complications disqualifying me for the summer cohort. Got an acceptance to the summer start 2 weeks ago but wasn’t ready for it with such short notice. Now waiting for fall acceptance letters to be given out. I spoke with a counselor 2 days ago and they are still looking to fill the summer cohort before moving on to the fall cohort. Good luck!!
Also, I’d be super down to rent a house out with 3-5 of us that make it into the fall program. Just something to keep in mind ?
I was just offered a position this summer. Will likely accept but want to discuss what the financials of that will look like with my advisor tomorrow since I haven’t applied to for financial aid or anything yet. Can’t believe it’s actually happening! Such a long journey to finally get here

I believe I have 39pts, not sure if that changes with classes in progress/class complete because I’m taking life span psychology at the moment and will have completed it in 2weeks.
Your situation sounds nice! Sure it can be a huge distraction but also a huge support system.

Congrats!! Hopefully that means the summer cohort is filled now!
I finally got my evaluation. I got 12 points. I know...pretty pathetic. So now I have to either retake the teas and get at least 96? (I have a 82 right now) or retake my anatomy and physiology classes. I cant retake them where originally took them because they're both C's, so I'm hoping they'll accept the anatomy and physiology course from UCSD extension. I probably can't make it to the Fall cohort :(

I emailed them awhile ago to check, but they said that they take the first grades to satisfy the requirements so I don’t think you can retake it elsewhere for better points in prenursing core. You can keep taking classes to up your last 60 units GPA and for sure with the TEAS also.

My advisor who I am talking to right now actually suggested me taking it elsewhere and they will take the highest grade.
