Hi everyone! I've been following a lot of the previous threads for CSUSM's ABSN program. I'm finally ready to apply for the Fall 2019 semester, so I figured I should start this thread and talk to the rest of you who are in the same boat! :) I currently just have to take the TEAS, which I'm signed up to take next week! Has anyone already submitted their apps yet?
For those of you still waiting on offers for the Fall, please check your "MyCSUSM" accounts. I just checked my account (10MAY19 at 2:45pm) and found that I had been conditionally admitted to the Fall cohort. I have submitted my intent to enroll and paid the applicable fee ($150.00). Please note, my point total was 34. Good luck to you all!

(I have a 82 right now) or retake my anatomy and physiology classes. I cant retake them where originally took them because they're both C's, so I'm hoping they'll accept the anatomy and physiology course from UCSD extension. I probably can't make it to the Fall cohort
Hi,
So they went over this during the info session. If you got C’s in anatomy and physiology, you’re locked in to those grades. If you got C- and below, they will average them. BUT! They told me a trick you can do to bypass this rule. If you took A&P separately, you can take a joint A&P class, so A&P I and A&P II. If you do this, they’ll just take the new higher grade. And it’s vice versa if you took a joint A&P class.
Also, for the public speaking or critical thinking courses, it’s a similar concept. If you got a C, you’re locked in. BUT, you can take a different A1 course and get a better grade, then they’re take this new better grade!
For chemistry, they’ll take the highest grade of general chemistry, organize chemistry, or even an integrated chemistry course.
So you do still have lots of opportunities to raise your GPA.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Holy crap this is a great hack! I would imagine this to work at other programs as well.
