Hey guys!

I'm currently a Sacramento State pre-nursing student applying for their Fall 2019 Nursing program. I didn't find a page regarding this, so I created it for those who are also applying as well!

Hey guys, I have a question as admission decisions get closer.

On the adjusted nursing GPA calculation sheet, it says that AP scores are “considered a grade (no units/grade points)”. What does this mean? Are there grades associated with each score (3,4,5)? Will it bring my GPA down if I got two 3s, or is it saying it won’t be accounted for as a grade at all?

No, it means exactly what it says it means. Meaning that if you passed your AP exam, it will not count towards your GPA calculation. Therefore, it would in turn make the effective weight of the other classes you took weigh more (unless you have the same grades for the rest of the classes). Think of average of n=100 vs n=2. Hope that helps!

Good for you! Question, when is your deadline for submitting your decision/intention to enroll? I'm on an alternate for another program and I'm trying to suss out when movement may be happening.

It didn't specify in the alternate email (I am applying as a second bachelor). It stated if there was an error in the points then we must email by May 2. Hopefully someone who got into the program can let us know :).

Oh, I found in a different email sent couple weeks earlier it says "Be sure you return your University, Intent to Enroll (ITE) by the May 1st deadline, https://webapps2.csus.edu/ite/. This is a critical deadline! Failure to return your ITE will result in your application being withdrawn from consideration from the University and the School of Nursing (no fee required, this is not a promise to enroll). When you receive your admission decision, if you are an Alternate, please submit a “yes” Intent pending news from the School of Nursing (no fee required, this is not a promise to enroll). "

Congrats on those accepted! For those on wait list you might have a chance still! It does not mean you guys are not good enough to be a nurse so do not take it personally!

Hi all. I got in, I had 81 points. I will not be attending because of the fact that I will not be in the country that semester, but I will be reapplying for the next semester. Whoever is on the waitlist- congrats you just moved up a spot! ?
