CSUS Sacramento State Fall 2019

Hi guys! I created this page, for all students who are applying to Sacramento State Fall 2019 Nursing Program to share anything in regards to the application process.

Hey guys!

I'm currently a Sacramento State pre-nursing student applying for their Fall 2019 Nursing program. I didn't find a page regarding this, so I created it for those who are also applying as well!

Hi!

I'm trying to transfer to sacramento's nursing program. I'm trying to stay positive, but my stats are not as competitive as I'd like them to be. I'm retaking the teas this month and will hopefully get my biligual proficiency approved.

Hello!

I am still thinking of applying (I'm on the verge of not applying) because of my low point score of 66 (which isnt even guranteed)

GPA : 4.0 = 40 pts

TEAS : 87.3 = 16 pts

Healthcare 100+ = 3 pts

No omits = 2 pts

No Repeated = 2 pts

Bilingual = 3 (still a maybe, still have to take the test..)

Totals : 63-66

I just need to do the test and submit the application along with the documentation. At this point, I don't know if I should continue and submit. My problem is that I live in Daly City, a long way from Sacramento. Not sure if I want to work THAT hard for 3 measly points...

Hi anyn!

If you don't mind me asking, how did the TEAS go for you? Because, I take my TEAS on Monday, and I'm so nervous!

Hello strawberrying!

If you don't mind me asking how long did you study for your TEAS? Your point total is outstanding, maybe if you re-take your TEAS for a higher score you have a better shot at applying!

Hi all! I will be applying for this semester! I was waitlisted last semester with 67 points. Since then I have retaken my TEAS and will be reapplying this semester :) my first time taking it gave me an 84.7, and this second time gave me a 92. Best of luck to all!

Hey RnLov3,

That's an amazing jump on your TEAS! How long did you study in-between your first and second attempt if I may ask?

I'm not taking it till the 22nd and I honestly don't know if I want to even take it anymore bc my practice test scores aren't looking too good. How did the teas go for you??

Didn't get the score I wanted, unfortunately. Definitely, you need to STUDY HARD for this exam to even get remotely close to Sac State's standards. Good thing I purchased another exam. I got to discipline myself this time.

Are you taking it again this month before the nursing application deadline? I have about a week left and I'm trying to focus on science and english, but there's so much information to cover.

Yes, February 28th. It's definitely risky, but I really want to improve my score from today. My weak areas are Science and Reading. I suggest if you can purchase the ATI study manual and ATI practices assessment test A & B. A lot of nursing students recommended me to buy them. But I never used my practice assessments and maybe that is also why my score wasn't ideal. :( But I'm trying not to beat myself up too hard! Just study smart! Don't cram!
