Hi guys! I created this page, for all students who are applying to Sacramento State Fall 2019 Nursing Program to share anything in regards to the application process.

Hey guys!

I'm currently a Sacramento State pre-nursing student applying for their Fall 2019 Nursing program. I didn't find a page regarding this, so I created it for those who are also applying as well!

Yes, February 28th. It's definitely risky, but I really want to improve my score from today. My weak areas are Science and Reading. I suggest if you can purchase the ATI study manual and ATI practices assessment test A & B. A lot of nursing students recommended me to buy them. But I never used my practice assessments and maybe that is also why my score wasn't ideal. :( But I'm trying not to beat myself up too hard! Just study smart! Don't cram!

I have those too! The practice assessments online definitely helped me the first time I took it bc they're almost exactly like the actual test. Honestly I'm with you because I crammed in a week the first time I took it and I'm doing the same thing this time which is discouraging. I used the ATI study manuel the first time around, but this time I've been studying the Yellow Mometrix secrets one more because it goes more in depth on the science section. I'm hoping you do well this time around and don't be discouraged!! ?

Hey RnLov3,

That's an amazing jump on your TEAS! How long did you study in-between your first and second attempt if I may ask?

Honestly- three days. I took those three days off and really focused on my weak spots, which were English (I was very underprepared the first time) and strengthening my math skills!

But I waited about a month to retake my TEAS. ?

Hey all,

I'm a little confused considering the First Generation College Student. I thought I was able to get points from it, but I noticed on the application that "foreign college" is considered. My mom went to college in the Philippines but my dad didn't go to college. Are they just considering one parent or both? And how do they look into this if no documentation is required? I'm just scared because I want to check the box for it, but if I do and it's misrepresented my application will not be considered. HELP!

Hey guys!! App is due this Friday, good luck!! What are we thinking the point off will be this admission cycle?

They posted last spring's cut off and it was 67 so probably somewhere around there.

I'm so relieved right now! I retook the TEAS yesterday and killed it!! I've been studying ALL month for it, and it payed off(96%;76/88)!! ?

I look forward to seeing everyone there this fall!

Hey guys, do you guys know what does the point cut off mean? Last year was 67. Does that mean anyone whose score is 67 points got in? And also what is your guys stats? I’m getting so anxious waiting 2 months for the results and would like to see where I am standing right now. I applied with 69 points, which seems low to me considering spring 2019 forum. Thank you

Has anyone heard back?

What that means is that 67 points is the lowest point value on the waitlist (so basically the lowest point value that is available for consideration into the program).

In addition to what someone already responded, 69 was the point cutoff for Spring 2019 for those immediately admitted. It’s 67 due to the people with that point value on the waitlist.
