CSUS Sacramento State Fall 2018

Published

Effective Fall 2018, Sac State is changing their Selection Criteria for Admissions into the BSN program. I've created this thread for those folks that are planning on applying Fall 2018 to ask questions, share their thoughts, etc. I'm interested to know if the changes make it easier or harder to get accepted. I myself was planning on applying Fall 2018 but may decide to apply Spring 2018 if it's "easier" before the new changes are put into effect.

The selection criteria changes include NEW:

 Admission Point Assignments

 Minimum Admission Point Total

 Minimum Science GPA

 Adjusted Nursing GPA

 Standard Units

 Repeat Policy

 TEAS Points

 Optional Criteria Points

Hi everyone,

I am applying with 83 points.

GPA: 4.0 ( nonadjusted) =50 points

TEAS: 88.0%=17 points

Extra Criteria: I meet 4/5 criteria points=16 points

I was planning on applying, but the BSN/MSN and MDE/DNP programs I got to require me to accept the offer by March 15, whereas Sac State's acceptance letters won't be out until April!

Hey You guys, I am also applying for the nursing program at Sac State. I just had one question regarding the optional points for the environmental background. I tried checking the API for my high school but I don't know where I am suppose to look for the number of

Hi,

I was looking for the same score and I was not sure how to find it. I went on the website it listed but it was not stated directly, what the API score was. I emailed Terri but I haven't received a response yet. Please let me know if you find out anything, as I have the same question too.

I officially submitted my application! Ahhhh!! So nervous and excited. I just want April to get here already! Good luck, everyone!

Hey everyone, the pressure is on! I am still in the process of completing the application and this is what I have so far:

Adjusted GPA: 4.0 (omitting a B in anthropology) (50 pts)

Non Adjusted: 3.917 (

Teas: 86% (14 pts)

Optional Criteria: I believe I qualify for 4/5 (16 pts)

Total: 80 points

Hopefully that is accurate and good luck to everyone applying!

Hey everyone! I'm currently a first semester student (admitted spring 2018) and if you have any general questions I will do my best to answer them!

I won't be able to help with everything, but considering that I just finished the application/acceptance process and frontloading, I might be able to alleviate a little stress. Either way, good luck to everyone!

How soon after the application period closed did you guys get a rough estimate from the program about the point cutoffs? Thanks for offering to answer questions!

After the application period closed, we got an update probably a little over a month later about a preliminary cutoff. The wait was excruciating.

It really is. The application period hasn't even closed and I'm still checking my email like I'm mad!

Oh god...I thought it would be much sooner í ½í¸£ gonna put it out of my mind for some time then so I don't die of anxiety.
