Also, congrats to everyone that go it! And to those who didn't good luck! Sorry if our joy makes you feel bad, but everyone's time comes when necessary. I got rejected twice from my top choice and now i'm exactly where i want to and need to be. Dont' loose hope and stay positive!

if you don't mind me asking, for those who have been accepted already, what is your academic profile like?

I've gotten lucky with grades but had a 3.98 undergrad and 4.0 in prereqs (though I don't think any of this is necessary). I remember wanting to know this as well prior to applying but few spoke about it. I was accepted to two programs and in my other program, plenty of others have good grades and some haven't even completed pre-reqs (missing 2-3 pre-reqs but they're completing them this spring).

Hello Everyone,

I am just now getting on board with you guys. I did apply to UCLA MECN program as well as CSUN ABSN. Unfortunately, I wasn't accepted to UCLA nursing program, but I just received my acceptance email from CSUN Nursing program for FALL 2016 on yesterday afternoon around 3ish. When I went to my portal, it had all kinds of things listed there that are complete and incomplete. I found out that one of my schools I attended transcript didn't make it. So I had to request for it again. I didn't, however, see anything about a change of status from pre-nursing to nursing. I didn't get a notice about an appointment or anything either. Hopefully, I can get more information on tomorrow since they are closed for the holiday today. After I received my first acceptance email, I received a second one about the "alternate". As I was speaking with the lady, she said it was a glitch. That to trash that one. The department ended up sending another email shortly afterwards stating that the second email was a mistake. That they had a glitch in their system.

I just wanted to say congrats to all of you including myself who got accepted in the program at CSUN. All we have to do is work hard together as a team and show them they we are more than capable of getting the job done. I hope we can assist each other and become great friends throughout the program.

Hi @spankydoodle, I can't PM either and I don't feel comfortable leaving my email in the forum. I think your best bet will be to contact the nursing department before they email the alternates. Since I turned down my spot in the program, there's nothing to switch. Sorry, and good luck!!

For others wondering, CSUN is still evaluating my transcripts, so my portal looks exactly the same with many incomplete tasks listed and no mention of "major advisement needed", etc.

I also hope that they're not done sending out acceptances but I find it weird that they would send out alternate emails before sending out all acceptances...which is what makes me think that they're done sending out acceptances and for the ones that they're sending out Friday and next week will be the ones after spots opened up. But still I feel like those would go to the alternates first and not to the people who haven't received anything....but i sure hope I'm wrong and that they're just going down in alphabetical order or something. Crossing my fingers
