CSUN 2016 ABSN

Hi Everyone! I was searching around and couldn't seem to find a thread for the spring and fall 2016 ABSN program at CSUN. Hopefully we can use this thread to talk to and support each other as we go on this crazy journey :D

Thanks for the update! This is crazy. None of the other cohorts waited this long í ½í¸‘. March 30 seems so far.

Yeah... i guess they are open during spring break if they have been answering our emails. lets hope to hear something by friday, but if they said march 30, then i guess they really doe mean march 30. hahaha this gives me so much anxiety.

I'm just wondering if they've sent out any acceptances at all yet. My anxiety is through the roof about it. Does anybody know, by chance, how many applicants they get?

I don't think so. my sister and a few friends that also applied haven't heard back either.

I had to call admissions and they told me about my "acceptance" to the university before my portal was updated. This was about 2 weeks ago. They've since updated my portal and I'm just waiting on the nursing dept. The suspension of their ABSN for the 2017 application period does have me a little weirded out and makes me even more thankful I've received an acceptance from another university.

If you don't mind me asking, where else have you been accepted? I'm also holding onto a spot at another University while I wait to hear from CSUN- wondering if we might be classmates somewhere else....

@Jensfro I don't mind you asking at all :) I've been accepted to UCLA for their MECN program. Where were you accepted?

Hello,

I just found this page and was super glad. I am with everyone else, I got admission to the school but haven't heard anything back from the program. I was looking at the past cohorts and by this time they were sending out admissions already. Im really hoping they don't wait until the 31st because not knowing whether I am in or not is killing me. I guess the wait continues, I really hope we all hear back soon. Good luck!!! :)

When I went to speak to someone in the department office in August they told me they get around 350 applicants for the absn program.. @kjsterry

@anklowss I have a spot for the ABSN program at Mount Saint Mary's. Exciting that you've been accepted to the MECN program at UCLA! You're in a great position no matter what happens!

This wait is horrible. I only applied to 2 programs and both are taking longer then I thought to get decisions out.To find out in April that you'll start in June makes for a really tight schedule.

I cannot believe no one has heard back! I just got accepted into Moorpark's ADN program but CSUN is my top choice definitely! I am supposed to give Moorpark an answer by Thursday and I am hoping we hear back before then!

You can always tell moorpark yes and then switch if you get into csun. I am in a ADN program right now (been in it for 2 months) and I have to decide if I want to switch if I get into csun.
