CSULB Spring 2017

Published

Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.

From what I heard during our communication excercise the pool of Spring 2017 applicants has been already narrowed down by a lot, so I assume that most of us will get in. As Tony mentioned it should not take more than one business week for review of our performance during the communication excercise and to email notifications. Guys and gals, remember they have to read all 100+ written summaries and notes on our verbal portion. Once I find out am in I can create a FB page for us. Can't wait! Good luck!!!

I applied here, SF State, Sac State and SMC. I pretty much got into SMC already as long as I pass their entrance exam. CSULB is my first choice due to trimester.

I haven't applied to schools outside of my area because i can't afford to relocate. As far as the semester/ trimester debate goes, I would prefer the trimester because its faster, but any would be awesome. Although having summers off does sound nice.

For the spring cohort trimester you'd have to do two summers which is sixteen weeks compressed into twelve, for the fall cohort you'd only have to do one summer. Something to think about.

Hi All,

Reading this is getting me very nervous as I will be applying for the Fall cohort! Best of luck to you guys!!!! Would you guys by chance know if another thread for the Fall 2017 Cohort has been made? I am about to take the TEAS and it is scary! Any tips?

For fall 2017 it might be up, you can search CSULB Fall 2017 or something along that, if there's one then that would be awesome if not then it might be too early. You can even create a thread for your cohort if one hasn't been up. For the new teas you can use a calculator on the math portion but most likely for fall 17 they will use the reading score instead of math too. Study more on the reading section so your score on that section will be strong. Also, don't take a computer test of the teas bc your eyes will feel tired, you will feel dizzy and annoyed plus the clicking of the mouse to go back and forth is not as fast as the paper-pencil version. Take the paper pencil version if you can and take the teas more than once with enough preparation. Good luck.

I also recommend buying more than one prep book so you have more practice test available. Before taking any practice test read all prep books front to back.

I will be sure to do my best to fit that in to better prepare myself. Thank you!

Since it seems many applicants do not know this, MonaLisa told me that there were 90 applicants invited to interview for 80 spots. So take a deep breath because those are highly favorable stats

Hey I'm an EMT too.

Oh cool. Ya I did EMT prior to see if nursing would interest me or not. Who's ready to hear our results from CSULB?!

I've been ready. I keep checking my emails every 15 minutes. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
