CSULB Spring 2017

Published

Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.

Goodluck to everyone! We got this! *freaking out internally*

Don't freak out! You'll all be fine :)

I took part in the group A exercise at 11 o'clock. It was not as bad as I thought. I actually enjoyed it. Try to have fun and let your passion for nursing shine through. Good luck to those who have their interviews earlier.

The communication exercise was actually pretty easy overall.

I feel like I could have done better at the writing portion. I feel like my answers were too vague because I was trying to write as fast as I can so I do not run out of time.

However, I think I did good on the activities.

Now for the hardest part -- waiting.

One of my group members asked the faculty how many students will they be accepting for the spring and they replied with 80. So stay positive people

So during my session they said out of everyone invited most everyone gets admitted except 10-15 who are waitlisted. Those are pretty good odds so I wouldn't sweat it esp if you have a strong score to begin with.

I feel similar, would definitely have done better on the written portion but the other activities were fine.... WAITING IS THE TERRIBLE PART OF THIS!! *dying already*

I'm the opposite I feel like I did well on the writing and not so well on the partner excercise. Anyone know the time frame by when they'll let us know if we're accepted or not?

The superintendent in our group said we would all receive a letter in three weeks. Everyone receives a letter; a letter of acceptance, rejection or waitlisted. 15 students will be waitlisted.

From what I found out from previous years, spring 15 got their acceptance via email two business days after their communication exercise, while spring 16 took 7 business days after the interview. As for fall 16 it took them 14 days. It makes sense for the fall cohort to wait the longest because generally fall just have a lot more applicants when compare to spring. If we are lucky and I'm hoping for this to happen, tomorrow evening we might receive acceptance letters, if not then by next Fri. All of these notifications on my phone got me paranoid because I'm just hoping it's from Ms. Ward. Guess I'll join you guys on this wait. :((((

I'm stuck at work, and I am curious, who else had CSULB as their first choice for nursing school? I also applied to Santa Ana College ADN program as my backup. I'm going to consider applying to CSULA.

Same here. Right now csulb is my only option and if I don't get in I'll apply to others like Csula or to a private school! I'll pray I won't have to resort to that.
