Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.
Thank you for accepting me into Allnurses.com. I am happy to join the group.
I have moved on to second phase of the nursing application process. I'm excited and nervous for my interview Oct 12. Many students know their score already. I'm wondering how to calculate my score. Here are my results:
Core GPA: 4.0
Science GPA: 3.67
Teas Score Overall: 88%
Reading score: 90%
Any tips or advice for the interview? I want to be prepared.
Thanks for the help.
Good morning applicants! I received my letter about two weeks ago and I finally found a thread with students I can relate to. I am so thankful to whomever created the thread.
I have my appointment on Oct 12 at 11 AM.
My stats are
Science GPA: 3.76
Gen. GPA: 4.0
Overall Teas: 88%
Reading Score: 90%
I am also a U.S Veteran: 1 points
i don't know how to calculate my score. I made it to the interview phase, so I am happy.
I am so excited and nervous for next week! I hope we all done well.
Hey Palomares,
Your rating should be:
Science GPA= 3.76
Gen GPA: 4.0/2 = 2
TEAS= (.88x2)= 1.76
TEAS Reading= (.9x2)=1.8
Military= 1
3.76+2+1.76+1.8+1= 10.32 points!
This is a very strong rating, way above 9.15 (which is the competitive admission rating). You should have a really great chance of getting in.
I know for sure that they are going to make us write something. But I think the communication exercise will not be your orthodox interview where they ask you questions like, "Tell me about yourself" and things of that nature. They may just ask us to explain something. I do not know much about it frankly.
And btw, my interview is also at 11:00 am, so see you there!

@RaeC12, some of us emailed or call Ms. Ward to inquire about our rating, however, most of us here calculated our scores by using the formula posted on this thread. I see that your interview is at 2PM, I'll see you there haha. As far as the interviews go, I heard mix info as well. If you are above 9.15, just do well on the interview and hope for the best
