Is anyone applying? :) I thought I'd start a thread.
Hi all, this is my first post on allnurses. I've just been searching around here and it looks like a lot of you received an email about a communications exercise (congrats!!). Is anyone who has received this email a second degree student? I am just wondering if perhaps that is why I haven't gotten one.... I've got competitive scores (3.9 GPA in science prereqs, 3.65 GED GPA, 93% on TEAS and 94% on the math section). I was incredibly confused about the second degree application though because it seemed too simple, so I am just wondering if I did it wrong somehow. I was REALLY hoping that I would finally get in but I imagine the communication exercise is something like an interview. Can't get in without that!

This year they changed from Math to Reading. When you calculate your score and if it's above 9.15 and you didn't get the email then give her a call to see the reason why. Hope this helps.
Hey guys!
Sorry I'm posting so late, just added myself to the thread. I noticed a lot of you posting the scores you received, is this based on your own personal calculations or did Monalisa specifically tell you your final score? I'm scheduled for the interview at 2pm for Group B! Little nervous and not sure what to expect. I talked to one nursing student at long beach who said they interview about 120 applicants and accept about 60, which means half of us will be cut. I've also read other forums that say once you get an interview for admitted students and not the waitlist (if you scored above a 9.15) that you have between a 80% and 90% chance of being admitted. Not sure which one to believe. Anybody have any insight on this? Thank you guys and good luck!
