CSULB Spring 2015

Published

Hey everyone,

I want to apply for csulb nursing program for spring 2015 cohort, is there anybody here who is applying for spring also? Do you think spring cohort is easier to get in?

Be patient... Haha cause you're going to take care of em. Prepare yourself for a lot of work guys. This is much more difficult than prolly anything you have done before.

Are you in the program currently?

I also remember hearing that from the information meeting. I wonder why they ask about the military on our application though?

the "preferential treatment" to vets is an automatic push through to the interview as long as all minimum requirements have been met.

Are you in the program currently?

Yes I am. This is the hardest academic thing I have ever taken a part of. I am struggling, but I will thrive.

hopefully we find out before halloween lol

Thats is the perfect way to think and feel about the situation! I'm praying for you.

Veterans get some preference. As long as you have a 3.00 gpa and pass the teas with a 70% then you will get at lease an interview but will not grant you enrollment into the program. Best of luck and thank you for serving.

Being a veteran does not automatically get you accepted into the program. As long as one scores a 70% on the Teas and has a 3.00 gpa then a veteran will get at least an interview.

I figured as much. Didn't for a second think that I would get automatically accepted.

Another day passed and no email:( hopefully tomorrow! Lol

Is it true that if you receive your acceptance from CSULB that you're also accepted to the SON? I've heard others say that the SON wouldn't tell the main office of admissions to offer you acceptance unless you had been accepted to the SON.

I called admissions to see if they needed my transcripts after the supplemental application was completed and she said wait until you hear from the nursing department ... So i think the SON accepts you first

I checked the status of my application on the CSULB website today and it says that I was accepted into CSULB where as last week when I checked it was still tbd. Don't know if that means anything. Has anyone else checked their application status for the university?
