CSULB Nursing Interview Fall 2011!!!

Hello! I'm new to allnurses.com and I hope I can fit in with you guys :D:redbeathe

I'm surprised that no one else has started a thread about CSU Long Beach's nursing interview for Fall 2011! The Interviews begin next week and isn't anyone out there as nervous as I am! I live in Norcal so the long drive down to Long Beach, will hopefully be well worth it!

I have only gathered small bits and pieces of information about the interview for CSULB and if you guys would like to share what you know with me; that would help a lot.

I couldn't pick up my phone when they called me around 12:30 so they left me a voice mail. Now I just called them back.

They said I was accepted to BSN program and asked me if I wanted to take my spot even though I have to take a language program. (English is not my first language and I have some difficulty speaking English.)

I'm a transfer student.

My stats are

Science prerequisites: 4.0

GE prerequisites: 4.0

Teas score: 86.7

Math score: 97

---- called me 2. They only accepted 25 transfer students according to her.

Hope everybody get calls 2...

Wow.. only 25? That is shocking.

Yeah! Only 25..horrible news for those trying to transfer in. The budget cuts were severe this year, I guess. Hope you got in Virgina Yu

I feel sick to my stomach since I haven't received a call. My stats were 8.9. Oh well, hopefully I will get accepted somewhere else. I'm sure they would have called me by now.

i'm a transfer.

i posted my stats earlier in this thread but here it is again:

Science GPA: 4.0

GE GPA: 3.36 (1 class in progress)

TEAS overall: 87.6%

TEAS math: 88.9%

I got a call today as well. Tried to call ---- back but didn't get an answer/machine.

I got into SDSU and will be attending there instead, so hopefully one of you guys that didn't get a call back take my spot! Good luck

So I just talked to ----. She said there is still 42 students that need to be interviewed. i am one of them =] She said its just so hectic that they're trying to get everything together before they call these students to setup interviews. So all hope isn't lost yet!

thanks for sharing mrgaylordfocker. can you please share your stats so i can see what type of stats CSULB is accepting for the external transfers? good luck at SDSU!

Good luck mrgaylordfocker! SDSU is a great school! :hug:

I'm worried now because I just called the CSULB automated phone and it said, "You do not have an institution assigned. Please contact the office of enrollment!" Last month it said it had been deferred to the institution of your major.

Does this mean I was rejected? Did anyone else get this automated message?
