  1. Hello there everyone:-) So, I just found out that my nutrition class was not equivalent to the one we need for the nursing program. Did any of you take an equivalent nutrition class at a local community college? If so, which college and class? It will be really hard for me to take the evening class at LBMH. Thanks for your help. By the way, hope you all had a great holiday season. I'm so nervous, how about you guys?
  2. Thinking about that alternate puts a smile on my face :-)
  3. I'm going to turn that down. Long Beach is closer, and I really want to get into the trimester program. I do like CSUSB's campus though....if time wasn't an issue for me, I probably would have went with CSUSB.
  4. The trimester program is optional. There is a lottery for it. People might be forced into it if no one wants it. I want that program though :-)
  5. Science: 4.0 GE: 3.8 Teas: 87.1
  6. Just found out i was accepted....woohoo!
  7. Congrats Jbaa!!
  8. Congrats Beachsidenic!
  9. If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats Emcruz?
  10. I've been accepted to CSUSB's program as well....congrats!!
  11. When I say overall GPA, I mean the prerequisite classes such as Micro, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, English, Math, Critical Thinking, and Speech. When I say 4.0 in the sciences, I mean the science prerequisites. They don't count any classes other than your prerequisites. The bilingual letter will help you; I also think it's a good idea, as you said, to retake the TEAS test. Good luck to you too!! Hope you get in as well; apply to all the schools you can. Also, I've heard that Winter is easier to get into than the Fall, so if you don't get in the program in the fall, don't give up, try for the Winter too :-) I will try to remember to post once I'm in the program. I also applied at CSULB, I'm waiting for the reply from them too. If I get in at CSULB, that is most likely where I will go since they have the two year option. I have a four year old, and if I can, I would like to get out of school and in to a job as soon as possible.
  12. I have a 4.0 in the science prerequisites, and a 3.8 overall. I scored an 87.1% on the TEAS test. I also turned in the two letters of recommendation.
  13. I just received a letter in the mail notifying me that I was accepted to the Winter 2012 nursing cohort; has anyone else received a letter. :)
  14. Yes, I did attend an info session and no, I'm not bilingual. I believe it's two points each.
  15. Wow, I didn't get in this time around. I have a total 3.6 GPA (because of a C I got in English five years ago), and a 4.0 in my sciences. I scored an 87.9% on my TEAS. I'm currently taking an English class, and I have an A, so that should bump up my total GPA to 3.8. I was encouraged to reapply in the winter. This sucks!!
