I'm surprised that no one else has started a thread about CSU Long Beach's nursing interview for Fall 2011! The Interviews begin next week and isn't anyone out there as nervous as I am! I live in Norcal so the long drive down to Long Beach, will hopefully be well worth it!
I have only gathered small bits and pieces of information about the interview for CSULB and if you guys would like to share what you know with me; that would help a lot.
Yeah, I also believe all the calls that were placed were for the transfer students, if its true they're still interviewing, then the open spots available now are for CSULB students. But, don't lose hope, they're is a waiting list after the official list has been finalized.
Ok, so I called the nursing department today. They said they are sending out the final list very soon but they haven't even sent out any rejection letters either. So basically, lol, wait until the 4th week of April to know. But the kind nursing operator suggested I called everyday, every other day, to find out. Now I like that they don't mind being bothered

Congrats wannabeee! can you share your stats also? also, do you know how many people applied to the SDSU program and how many were accepted? will you be starting in the fall '11 or spring '12 semester at SD? i see alot of people are chosing SDSU over CSULB, so maybe i can apply there for the spring '12 or fall '12 semester?

I think sdsu accepts 180 but not 100% sure. What are your stats?

my stats:
science GPA: 4.0
overall GPA: 3.91
TEAS score: 85%
TEAS math: 93%
um,, nursing admissions coordinator at sdsu said that more than 900 applicants applied this year.(i don't know she meant by fall 2011 and spring 2012 together or just the fall iteself) I am not too sure about how many people they accept each semester, but sure that they admitted 180 people each year. I am starting this fall at SD :)
I talked to the nursing administrator and she stated that they're still requesting interviews and it will go throughout next week, and letters of acceptance should go out by mid May! =[
I am so frustrated right now. My point is 9.8. I am a transfer. I changed my phone number but i left my new number at the interview day. I havent receive a phone call. Is there anyone know whether they post the list at the office yet? If they did, i can stop by and check this weekend. ( i read ur guys threads in Friday night)

i don't think they have the list yet... you should call the office and ask if you've got admitted.
I think you will be fine. You are in for sure and it's not too late to call them on monday. also it's kind of their fault. you let them know you have changed your number and they didn't update your info on phone number. Intead of calling, i think they should've just sent out acceptance mail to be sure.
