CSULB-ELMSN Fall 2011

Hey everyone so I have been waiting for a couple of years to finally have all of the pre-reqs done to be able to apply to nursing school. I am finally finished and am just waiting for CSULB-elmsn's program which will start in Fall 2011. I want to know who else is planning on applying so we can have each other to go through the process with and I'm not going to lie I would really like to see what the competition is like. I did not send them a reply back... I am just going to wait for the packet to come in the mail! :) Does anyone know officially what the cut off was... I know they told me 9.1 but I was just curious if anyone knew the exact number?

I am not sure what the cutoff was but if I speak with anyone at the school I will ask :)

Also do you guys remember if we had Saturday class/clinicals during the first semester? I am trying to figure out my scheduling with everything.

hi princesspea - I doubt we will have class on Saturdays. I think clinics on Saturdays may be a possibility.

I'm also trying to figure out schedules and finances once school starts. I had this crazy notion I may try to keep working part time at my current job while going to school. But I looked at the instructional schedule and it looks majorly intense...2-3 classes in a 4-6 week time span.

If you guys go back to the post where I typed out the information session it has what are class schedule looks like... It is on page 15 of this thread!!!! I know we get Sunday's off to spend with the fam (right!!! we will be studying our butts off)

We aren't on semesters we are taking classes every 3 to 4 weeks... I believe for the first month or two we don't have clinicals but I am not 100% sure!

I have 4 Saturdays in the Fall semester were I have to be at meetings... Hoping that schedules can be arranged so it works :)

activate your account on mycsulb (if you aren't already a student) using your campus ID to accept the offer online (although i'm sure additional instructions will come out mid-may)

fyi the cutoff was 9.06 :) i called because i was dubious of my acceptance at first...

Did everyone get the email from admissions about registration?

I logged on and it says that I have accepted my offer for LB :) Excited to get our email packets

Yes, I set up my account also. Out of curiosity, I looked at the Fall schedule of classes to see if I could match up some of the classes from the list on the SON website. A few classes matched up that states specifically for ELMSN students. Not sure if the days and times will stay the same. I couldn't see anything for Nutrition, Pharm and Patho. I decided to just wait and take these classes at LB. Does anyone have to take these classes too? Sooooo excited to start!

I didn't receive any email from LB about registration... I only received the acceptance email... did you receive another email? I took your advice and went on the website and accepted the offer... I am guessing we will find out more on June 11 when we go in for orientation! SO EXCITED.

They just sent me the registration email... the school sends it to you after you accept the offer on MCULB... :)

I think when I sent my email reply back to ......., she must have put my acceptance into the system. When I set up my log in to mycsulb, it said I had already accepted.
