CSULA Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSULA Fall 2021 for the BSN Nursing track in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 

I was wondering if anyone has applied and knew if CSULA requires verification for volunteer hours in their NursingCAS application portion? Also, will they accept any amount of volunteer hours under 50? I know you can add a document. Thank you!

I’ll give it not likely. Maybe 2-3 people if lucky if people got into other programs thag are closer for them than LA ya know

Not sure how many are waitlisted but people already in the program that I know didn’t even know there was a waitlist. I’ve heard some people get admitted as late as June sometimes so I think it’s just a waiting game as people who got the initial acceptances, accept or decline their offers.

I got in the waitlist and they said I might not get any reply until up to July. That's a pretty long wait but at least there might be some hope left. I honestly didn't know there was a waitlist either and I was quite surprised! I read somewhere that they don't do waitlists but maybe they changed their mind this time around

What were your stats if u don’t mind me asking that got u on waitlist

GPA: 4.0, TEAS: 86%, volunteer hours: 60

For the people that got admitted, what date is the deadline for you to accept your admission? I would think around there will be most likely the time that some waitlist people might hear back

The email said to email her by March 26th to accept the offer of interest in the program

I am currently a senior in high school and just recently got accepted to the nursing program at CSULA. I had some questions regarding the process into getting accepted into the 3yr BSN program. Could you help me out? Thank youuu!!

Hi! Congrats on your acceptance! You’re not in the nursing program yet you’ve only been accepted into the pre-nursing major. You’ll have to apply for the nursing program in your first year of college, after taking your TEAS exam, and after doing volunteer hours. If you have other questions feel free to ask! ?

Okay yeah thank you for replying! I was wondering is it easy to get your classes for pre nursing students before applying to the BSN program? Or do pre nursing students have to fight for the classes along with all the other majors?

You have to fight with other majors for spots in classes, some pre nursing students this year couldn’t get all the classes they need. So I’d suggest going to the earliest orientation date available for you.

Hi! Does anyone know if the school takes an average of the grades if you've taken two separate Chemistry courses (lect + lab) or do you need at least a B- in both lect & lab?
