  1. Thank you! I definitely try my best to ace that class! I should have more time in the fall now that I’m taking a a chem prerequisite in the Summer. I looked up the teachers on rate my professor so I know which teachers to pick this year. Do you think as a freshman who will be attending the first session of orientation that I would have a good chance to pick the classes with the professors that I want?
  2. Hello! I’m just curious but was the school year hard taking all your prerequisites? Did you have any leisure time or was it all just studying?
  3. Hello everyone! I’m not in this specific group but I am applying to the 3year nursing program in fall of 2022, to those who were accepted into the 2020 nursing program at CSULA has all your classes online been easier than in person? Or do you think in person is easier in terms of getting a good GPA. I’m just curious to know if my first semester at CSULA as a pre nursing Major would be hard if it was online or in person ?
  4. Hello! I’ve called several volunteer services at local hospitals but each hospital said their volunteer services are temporarily on hold due to Covid-19. Does anyone know how the 2022 applicants for the 3yr-Nursing program will get volunteer hours if there is no place open due to covid?
  5. Does anyone know where I can get volunteer experience? To those who were pre nursing students at CSULA, did you start to volunteer when you were a senior in high school? And for anyone, before volunteering, did you need to Interview at all or was it simple to sign up and just volunteer at a local hospital. I’m just curious so I can start volunteering and getting in my hours ?

  7. Sounds good, thanks again!! I’ll definitely keep that in mind when orientation comes around. Would you happen to know if Econ would count as well? Because I’m looking at the 1st year for Fall’s prerequisites on the Nursing roadmap PDF and it says “MATH/ECON 1090*”.
  8. wow wow that is great advice!! Thank you;) if getting a CNA requires too much my first year, then I’ll stick to volunteering! I also have a question about taking AP classes in high school. For the pre nursing students at CSULA did passing any of the AP tests count for credit for any specific classes that were required to take? For example right now I’m taking AP Environmental Science, AP stats, AP literature, AP Gov/ AP Econ, and I’ve already taken AP language and AP US history. I’ve looked at the Nursing BSN program roadmap pdf with all the classes and most of my current AP’s aren’t in the program roadmap. Would this mean taking all these AP tests wouldn’t really matter since they aren’t classes listed on the class roadmap for nursing?
  9. Thank you so much for the advice ? to those who were CSULA pre-nursing majors, do you know if you are eligible to apply to any other nursing programs like CSULB or others, I just want to know what my options are. Where else can you apply just in case you don’t get into CSULA?
  10. Wow congrats on your acceptance, that’s amazing!! I see that you specialize in 2 years of pre nursing, did CSULA change the number of years as a pre nursing Major from 2 years to 1? I noticed that the 2019 pre nursing group had to take 2 years before applying to PACSON and now it’s different ?
  11. Thank you all so much for the advice you have given me, I really appreciate it. To all those who were accepted or denied into the PACSON as pre nursing student at CSULA, would you mind sharing your stats?
  12. Thank you so much @norifice8. With this whole Covid year did you guys take the TEAS online? Was the test shortened? And is anyone allowed to take the test at anytime or are there specific test dates made for TEAS test takers.
  13. Okay thank you for the advice! Do you know how many units we have to complete for our prerequisites in order to apply to the Nursing program? And how would I know what classes to take before applying? Would they tell me maybe at orientation ahead of time so I could get a head start to complete my units this Summer at community colleges?
  14. Would anyone also happen to know when I would be taking the TEAS exam and how many times I am able to take it? (I am currently a senior in HS by the way if that helps)
