CSULA Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSULA Fall 2021 for the BSN Nursing track in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 

I was wondering if anyone has applied and knew if CSULA requires verification for volunteer hours in their NursingCAS application portion? Also, will they accept any amount of volunteer hours under 50? I know you can add a document. Thank you!

Hello everyone,

I also got an email today saying I was rejected because I did not complete one or more prerequisites prior December 31st but I have completed all of the courses prior December 31st, the Fall 2020 semester. The only ones I was not able to take prior were nutrition and sociology, which I believe are not prereqs but only recommended courses... I sent my unofficial transcript to let them know and I hope they look into it ?  I literally have A's in all of my classes and I really wish they'd reconsider...

Wow that’s weird. Only prerequisites I didn’t have yet was Micro but they said it’s fine to complete after fall 2020. Hopefully I don’t get the same thing as u when they relook my app

yes they said micro can still be completed after but I literally also completed Micro ?  maybe I was rejected because of my TEAS? I submitted an 84% or because I did not include volunteer hours...? But I'm hoping that the incomplete prereq is actually the reason and that it might be a mistake? :((

I completed micro like in February in a short semester so I’m sad that wasn’t able to count... and yes I hope you do well too cuz we gotta fight till end

I had a 4.0 GPA (cum and pre-req), with an 84.7 TEAS with 200+ volunteer hours. I was very shocked that I got in, I was super skeptical about my stats.

I’m glad you sent proof of your application. It seems like CSULA has disorganization here and there, last year being Ninja who had to appeal even though she(/he) should’ve gotten the acceptance in the initial batch of emails. Earlier this year on 1/27 I received an email saying my application was withdrawn because they didn’t receive my NursingCAS! I sent them proof of my payment and they cleared it up a week after and I just received my acceptance yesterday. Good luck with everything!!

That happened to me as well! They withdrew my application even though I did send in my NursingCAS. Now I got an email saying they didn't accept me because they never received my official transcripts even though I did. Ahh they really do seem disorganized. But I still want to go there ??

I know they are disorganized at times. I was like beyond mad when I read that email saying no application was submitted. I literally slapped my steering wheel in parking lot like this was bs. Hoping this gives me a chance for something

What were your stats if u don’t mind sharing

To save our spot we need to email ----------------------, submit official transcripts, and pay the deposit fee by May 1st? Am I missing anything?
