CSULA Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSULA Fall 2021 for the BSN Nursing track in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 

I was wondering if anyone has applied and knew if CSULA requires verification for volunteer hours in their NursingCAS application portion? Also, will they accept any amount of volunteer hours under 50? I know you can add a document. Thank you!

Click on self service, and then student center. It’s too early anyways. Nothing changed for us until literally the day before they sent admission emails.

then you go to “self service”, then “student center”, then its going to bring you to the page and you just scroll to find the application status.

I had the same issue! but I went on "Student Center" & just kept clicking on the little pop-ups about voter registration, etc & it eventually showed the Application Status

Did anyone apply to the honors college as well? I wasn't sure how it would work with being a nursing major....I already finished all of my GEs and I want to focus on nursing school. Does anyone know someone who has done both? Thank you!

Hi! From personal experience, I applied, got accepted, but then decided not to go thru with it. They were asking for way too much stuff and I wasn’t willing to do both honors college and nursing school. Honors college asks you to take certain classes and nursing school was already way too much. The first semester was chill, but now in second semester, I am so glad I didn’t do it. It’s very stressful after second semester

Mine says incomplete. I wonder if that means they’re still reviewing applications? I hope I’m not missing anything.

You won’t see any type of update till they release admissions decisions. So in mean time you will see incomplete but once they send out the decisions then it could change to admitted or not change at all meaning denial

Do you guys know if CSULA has interviews/communication exercise for the basic BSN?

No, they do not.

Anyone with an update? The students got their results around today of last year.

OMG my portal says admitted but it doesn’t tell me to what major or I haven't gotten any email!
