CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

Updated:   Published

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

Hi everyone! I had a few questions about the application process that I was hoping someone could help me with! So I am completing the online application on Nursing CAS, and do we just upload like a copy of our TEAS score report and AP score onto the application and then send in a hard copy to the School of Nursing as well? I would just think that they need an official score report sent directly to them as well? Same goes for transcripts, do we sent a copy to CSULA SON or to NursingCAS address? I just want to make sure I get everything in on time and correctly haha. Hoping someone can help me out! Good luck to all of my fellow applicants! :)

What I did is I uploaded a PDF of the TEAS result to the online app. I did everything online. As for the transcripts, my school sent an official PDF of my transcript to NursingCAS. My program status for CSULA was already verified so I guess I did it correctly? haha

As for sending transcripts to CSULA SON, I think they would only ask us to do that once we're accepted. Not too sure though

I also called a while ago and they told me they would only start reviewing the applications after the deadline has closed.

Hi! So i'm a transfer student applying to LA as well - few questions here. I noticed on nursingCAS it says that transcript entry is for "prerequisites only" yet i've been seeing a lot of people inputting all their courses, so i'm wondering which one is correct. Also does CSULA require an official teas report from ati? there's nothing that asks for it on their website or nursingcas, but i just wanted to double check.

good luck!

Hey everyone !

Ive been following and reading your posts for a long time and finally decided to leave a comment !

I applied, I'm anxiously waiting for the results !! Im also available to help if any of you guys have questions !

Did you send your TEAS to them directly from ATI? I can't find anything on it - all they ask is to just upload it onto NursingCAS. I just want to clarify before submitting everything.

Thanks!

Is there any supplemental forms I have to submit besides my online app and transcripts? Thanks in advance. I went on the website but there wasn't must information regarding this.

There aren't any supplemental forms, just the nursingcas app. Good luck! ?

Hello yall, Just curious tonight to see if there was a thread for 2016 fall CSULA BSN students. Looks like there is. I'm currently a student in the CSULA BSN program c/o 2018. If you all have any questions as far as how the program is and what to expect, feel free to ask.

Awesome! I'm sure we'd all love to know a bit more about the program! Share your wisdom with us! Haha....any tips or tricks? ?

I went to an information session for the CSULA nursing program, and the director told us that we only needed to enter the eight pre-Reqs. And the teas report just has to be a pdf file of your score sheet. You can scan it yourself. Doesn't need to be official. ?

Hey, everyone! I think it's about time to start compiling a list of everyone's scores, so we can see where we stand more or less? Reply to this post with the amount of points you think you have if you want to participate. :) Let the odds be ever in your favor. :p

I'll start with my own score and the couple I found in this thread:

RachMayJ: 25

nsc95: 24/25

bgon: 24

My numbers in case anyone cares:

pre-req gpa (4.0): 10 points

overall gpa (4.0): 5 points

Teas (95 English,89 reading): 9 points

volunteer experience: (58.5 hours): 1 point

= 25 points

I should've retaken My teas and volunteered more :(

good luck everyone :)

for the teas points do I look at the adjusted individual score or the national percentile rank?

I'm asking because in the nursingcas application, they ask for the adjusted individual scores hmm
