I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!
Also, on the roadmap, they have the upper division GE in certain semesters. I wonder if that's negotiable? Also, how/when do we register for nursing classes? Do current students have priority over transfers or...?
You squeeze in your upper division where ever you feel best according to your schedule. Monica did once tell me it's hard to squeeze classes into nursing school because you'll be super busy. I guess that's the bad thing about transfers in any nursing school. you will register for nursing classes after orientation. I don't know if they'll assign you your schedule or you manually pick your classes at CSULA though. I know CSULB they give us a set schedule to register for. but here is the roadmap in case you want to see what's the best time to squeeze classes in. It will be the third row. Fall-Spring x 3.
Hi all!
I got accepted to the nursing program as well! I'm new to the site but after reading through the thread, I wish I'd gotten on here sooner so I wouldn't have had to panic on my own, haha. Anyways, I'm wondering if any of you know how to accept our admissions. I'm a transfer student so do I have to pay the $200 deposit to the university before I can accept? I called the admissions office and the guy didn't really help

Damn, I wish I could help but I guess CSULA is a mess right now. So far, I heaRd Student Services, admissions, and the school of nursing doesn't help with the process at all. Try calling the SON again and fiND out what you're supposed to do.

You register classes based on the number of credits you have.
