CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

I think it's normal! Lol. I've read past forums like 100 times and that happened to them too.

To those of you who are waitlisted, and to anyone else who may know this information, if we were to receive email offers about open spots in the SON, would it be by a certain date and after that date if you didn't receive an email then you're not in? Or is it randomly through out the summer and you kind of assume that you're not in if you don't hear close to when school is going to start?

I don't want to email Monica right now since I'm sure she's overwhelmed with work over there and that they're still hearing back from people and continually updating/fixing the waitlist...

yep! that was my theory. but another transfer just told me that she hasn't turned in her final transcripts, and hers still says admitted. weird. hopefully it's just the transcripts. I guess I can call admissions tomorrow and ask :)

Talked to Monica today and she said to wait for an email this week and just resend the email to accept your admission to SON.

CSULA SON got a $685K grant not too long ago. Pretty awesome guys!

Cal State LA's School of Nursing awarded $685,

In case anyone was curious, the reason my GET admission status changed back to incomplete is because they are waiting for my final grades/transcript. :)

Nope. I just called Monica this morning around 9AM and she answered the phone. I think she's too busy to respond to emails and voicemail at this moment, so it's best to try to get a hold of her in the morning.

Hi, everyone! I'm new to the site, and I just so happened to stumble onto this forum. I wish I knew about this earlier! It would have made my whole admission process less stressful!
