CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

Updated:   Published

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

We didn't have to email. We had to log onto our MYCSULB portal and clicked accept admission and pay our $150 fee (if not waived)

For the people who got waitlisted at CSULA, the email said "If you receive an acceptance to another nursing program, we would appreciate knowing this so we can update our waiting list."

You mean for the people who are rejecting the admission offer. & the email actually does not say that.

My wait list email states exactly that.

My acceptance email said something like that too.

I know we need to take some upper division GE. Anyone know what constitutes "upper division?"

So classes are going to be similar to the first link to the above link. They changed up things for the semester conversion so basically you're going to have to take one class from each category (humanities, social science, and natural science). There is no longer "themes" like violence, emotions, etc.

Thank uou :)

OMG I missed a lot...But YAY for our acceptance. Now I'll read everything I missed out on. Congrats everyone!

I'm super interested in what was everyone's reactions or like what were you doing when you found out?

I was in my internship at Pasadena and RachMayJ called me to check my email (LOL). Of course after the acceptance from SON, I called family and then I kid you not, my micro professor who helped me get this internship and who's kind of like my mentor walked in the lab and I just ran like a kid and hugged her...aaaaand then I cried haha. Pretty good day though guys!

I was actually at work. I can kind of say it felt nice to know that both schools that I applied for accepted me. Of course I wasn't as anxious as everybody because I already got accepted by my school of choice (CSULB) BUT I have been waiting for the letter so I felt proud.

You guys I just read the email thoroughly this time lol and it says we will get our admission confirmation sent out next week. Im asumming thats another email and hopefully itll have more details!

Exactly. That's what acceptance letter says. It says to notify Student Services by April 22nd and that there will be another email "next week" (assuming it's actually after the 22nd). I think those might also be letters for waitlisters who moved up
