CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

Updated:   Published

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

I'm at current Public Health student at CSULA and I got wait listed (23 pts). Does anyone know about waitlisting? How many people are wait listed and are the chances of being accepted very very slim? Will they give a call in the next month?

It depends how many people decline the offer every year. So that means after April 22nd, whoever doesn't accept the offer into the program, people on the waitlist gets moved up

Congrats to everyone that got in! I was waitlisted, but I'm choosing CSULB's program anyway so hopefully that'll bump some of you up on the waitlist :)

congrats on LB!!! :)

none of us can figure out how to accept our spot... we called student services and they said we called the wrong place

Overall gpa - 3.93

Prereq gpa - 3.86

Teas reading national - 98

Teas english national- 95

No volunteer.

Confused.

@Genevera

Congratulations on LB!!! If I may ask, what were your stats? We both have 23 in LA but I'm curious what your scores are separately(gpa, teas overall, teas math, etc)

That's weird... That's what the email said. You might want to call the SON

Hey! What were your stats for LB? I was looking for some people to carpool with :)

Yeah, that sounds about right. So strange. I'd definitely try to get some answers if I were you. Sorry :(

I calculated my points and I got 24. However, I called admissions after seeing the admitted in my GET status, and they told me that the Nursing department rejected me and that they decided I should go into nutritional science instead since it was my alternative major.. So I guess no CSULA nursing for me.

Hey, i'm curious to know if you heard from CSULA SON?

Maybe they meant Admissions ! For CSULB program, we had to let admission know.

My GET says admitted for Health and Human Services. Lol.
