CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

@Misstieu You should call CSULA Admissions maybe they can tell you what major admitted you?

Congratulations on LB!!! If I may ask, what were your stats? We both have 23 in LA but I'm curious what your scores are separately(gpa, teas overall, teas math, etc)

Thanks! My stats were higher for LB because I used two different TEAS results.

CSULA:

Prereq gpa - 4.0 = 10 pts

Cumulative gpa - 3.95 = 5 pts

Teas Reading - 77 = 3 pts

Teas English - 99 = 5 pts

Hospital Experience - 0

Total - 23 pts

CSULB:

Prereq gpa - 3.78 = 1.89 pts

Science gpa - 4.0 = 4 pts

TEAS overall - 98.7% = 1.974 pts

TEAS math - 100% = 2 pts

Total - 9.86 pts

Hey, i'm curious to know if you heard from CSULA SON?

Unfortunately I got rejected from CSULA and got accepted into my alternative major [emoji17] However, I received an acceptance letter for an ADN program that I applied to... So in a way it all worked out. Lol

none of us can figure out how to accept our spot... we called student services and they said we called the wrong place

Is there no option to accept your admissions on your MyCalStateLa?

Hey! What were your stats for LB? I was looking for some people to carpool with :)

I unfortunately live over in San Bernardino county. I have a feeling I'm gonna have a hard time finding many students that live near me :unsure:

Congrats to everyone that got in! I was waitlisted, but I'm choosing CSULB's program anyway so hopefully that'll bump some of you up on the waitlist :)

We didn't have to email. We had to log onto our MYCSULB portal and clicked accept admission and pay our $150 fee (if not waived)

I paid my deposit online. Still can't figure out how to accept my spot. If anyone else figures it out, let me know! Lol :)
