CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

I'm waitlisted! Hey, at least I didn't get rejected! Gotta keep a positive attitude.

I feel very blessed and fortunate to have been accepted to CSULB and CSULA nursing for fall 2016. Now I just need to hear back from UCLA and UCI and then I can make my final decision for nursing school this fall!!:)

And to those who got accepted, a serious congrats guys!! Everyone always tell us nursing school is very competitive and we have a small chance of getting into it but here we are now!! Good luck to you all as well as the alternates!

Idk if I calculated my points wrong and I actually have less than 24, but I'm like 100% sure I do have those points. Should I email M.L., and ask why others with 24 points made it or should I just wait? Because I saw on last year's thread that someone's points were miscalculated.

I would wait. I'm sure they calculated the points correctly for you. Additionally, maybe the reason you were waitlisted wasn't because of your score of 24, but because they just didn't have enough space and had to make decisions on accepting, rejecting, and waitlisting a lot of other people with the score of 24...

Thank you! My dream schools for the nursing program are UCLA and UCI which is why I'm waiting to hear back from them before I finalize anything. CSULB and CSULA are up there as well in my top choices for nursing schools. I applied to 7 schools total for this fall haha.

But to answer your question, it really depends on the UC admission decisions which should be within the next week or so :)

Don't forget CSULBs deadline to turn in transcripts is coming up soon!
