CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

I reread the whole thread today too ������ and I'm convinced I sent them the wrong paperwork. I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

I hate how this year's application is so messy and I'm sure it will only be just the beginning. We're the first ones who are going to experience the transition form quarter to semester and it will be chaos, since nobody will know what to do with this new system.

Thats one of the same concerns I have! I wonder how the transition is going to affect is, and if everything is going to be this unknown/ unorganized.

When you spoke to M.L. she said she was trying to get them out this week? Did she make it seem like next week was a possibility?

She kept repeating how they will be sent by the end of the month and she's trying to get them done this week (I guess that wasn't the case). I'm expecting next week for sure. After that is already pushing it.

I was also told by an admissions rep that the admissions department already had the list of admitted nursing students. So if that is true, then it is a really good sign if your GET status changed to admitted. Unfortunately, my GET status is still incomplete. I just do not understand why SON is taking so long to let us know our status. I really thought the new NursingCAS system would make things easier and faster.

I think we are all pretty hopeful for next week. From what I've seen, a number of people are giving up their spots for other programs. I think you will get in! I really hope you do!

I'm definitely wondering the same. Maybe it got complicated with the conversion or maybe things didn't go as planned with nursingcas. I just want our news and then I will forget all about this....until the next time something is unorganized and drives me insane. 😂
