CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

any updates anyone?

I'm anxious too!! I wish there was more chatter on here. We can all commiserate. I'm over here thinking I forgot things etc. lol

I agree, post away. I wonder if the university admission would already know and the school of nursing is just taking to long to send out emails. I understand that one person has had a bad experience with the University, but me personally they have been good to me.

That was my theory too! That the school of nursing already has the list of top 60 + alternates, and they've already notified the university....they just haven't notified us yet! :) Haha.

Agreed ! I think they're like stuck on the paperwork part and finalizing everything ! Because picking out the top 60 seems like the easiest part for them.

I like that we're on the same page here. Hopefully we are right. haha. I'm thinking we should hear back next week. I can't imagine that it would be later than that.

I'm thinking next week too just cause of the time they need to give to make a decision and to pay for the deposit (I'm sure there are a lot of transfers) so they can't really delay it at the end of the month but I do understand that they're loaded with paperwork.

My stats are a little complicated because I am also a veteran. I am not sure how much my veteran status helps but they wanted a copy of my DD214 which are my separation papers.

I'm curious as to how it works for vets. My brother is a vet and hopes to apply next year.
