I've been reading the thread of CSULA Fall 2014 nursing applicants & wanted to start one for this upcoming CSULA Fall of 2015. I am extremely eager to know how many points people have. I have 24pts & am going to retake my TEAS this upcoming November. Those who are interested as well, please don't be afraid to comment!
Okay guys,
Sub-Scale #items individual score Mean Percentile Rank Individual Score (% correct)
1) Look under the heading Percentile Rank
2) Then look directly under & it should say National Program
3) The score that is accounted for is the score under National
I am 100% sure this is correct as I've checked with a particular individual in the nursing department. I hope this clears some confusion!

Wow so they do look at the Percentile rank - National? If so then this completely changes most of our scores...or at least mine. Why? Because I looked back at my TEAS result and for the Percentile Rank National, I have 90 and 91 respectively for both English and Reading. So does that mean my points from English and Reading both go up 1 point, from 25 to 27? If it's according to their scale...
Hey everyone!
I'm also applying for Fall 2015.
Prereq GPA: 10 points
Cumul GPA: 4 points
Teas reading: 4 points
Teas english: 5 points
Experience: 1 point
I completed less than 100 hours because my father passed away at the time of my internship so I couldn't continue the program.
I will be applying with 24 points.

Thanks for sharing. Make sure you based your TEAS score on the National Percentile Rank as I'm sure it can really change most people's perception of their scores.
Hey cookiemuffin,
Thanks for that. I did read the previous posts and made sure I used the National Percentile rank score.
For Reading, my national percentile rank is 83 (4 points)
For English, my national percentile rank is 94 (5 points)
This is from the first time I took the TEAS. The second time I got
Reading - 91
English - 99
but I took it passed the deadline of the application so I was unable to use it.

Aw that sucks, your second scores were excellent and would give you an extra point.. Nevertheless, your stats are good. Hopefully most of us here will hear good news in April!

Hi Hi!! Hoping to get in with you guys for Fall 2015! Here are my stats:
~3.77 Prereq: 8
~3.73 Cumulative: 5
TEAS Reading % - 99: 5
TEAS English % - 95: 5
CNA Experience: 3
Total: 26
Really hoping this is enough for me to get in! CSULA is a great gateway to some of the best hospitals in California :)
I thought I would add my stats as well! After some time of viewing the thread and waiting for scores and what not here is my breakdown....
Pre req GPA: 3.85---10 points
college GPA: 3.56--- 4 points
TEAS reading: 88--- 3 points
TEAS English: 99--- 5 points
volunteer hours: 100+--- 2 points
total points: 24
I took the TEAS twice already so I can't retake it to increase my reading score; however, I did get an 85.3% overall score. I applied right when they opened the nursing applications so hopefully I make the cut and get in with my current scores.

Hey guys! :) I believe they said it's based on the National Percentile Rank, but correct me if I'm wrong. Here is the link: http://web.calstatela.edu/academic/hhs/nursing/PDF/BSN_B/Must_read_info.pdf.
Also I'm a little confused about the official transcripts to the university itself. Where does it say the deadline to send the official transcripts? On my GET portal, it says the due date is 7/15/2015.
