Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

I think it might be the same as it is with the transcripts since I ordered mine and hand delivered with my application. I took my TEAS at CSULA so i did not have to worry about sending them over. I'm going to CSULA on monday to turn in my volunteer hour completion form and to turn in my grade update paper(this one to CSULA itself.)

If you're worried, I think you should call or email. I emailed Monica about something and I got a response really fast.

You definitely cut it close turning in your application so late!!! lol

I was going over the Supplemental App checklist. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, EXACTLY ?

It says:

" ___ I have included a copy of the TEAS result to the School of Nursing by December 30, 2013."

I purchased the results and had them sent to CSULA in the beginning of December. Is that what they mean? Or was I suppose to bring a separate copy of the results to the SON in December?

I included a copy in the Application packet, but that was delivered today Jan 2nd. What did you all do about that part? I hope I'm ok.... FML

Mine changed to the green check mark (admitted) a while ago. But that has nothing to do with the nursing program. That just means you've been admitted to CSULA.

Yeah, but mine changed back to the green dot. So I was also wondering about that.

I told her that I had the Transcripts sent via ATI website on December 6th, and submitted a copy in the app packet Jan 2nd, but I did bring a separate unofficial COPY to the SON by December 31st.

Answer: YES, I was supposed to have personally mailed a separate COPY from the ATI website to the SON by Dec. 31st. However, as long as I put a copy in my application packet, I would be OK. :up:

I just called and the lady on the phone seriously said 3 words lol but when I asked her she said no. I didn't have to include a copy whewww

My friend (who took the test off campus) did not include a copy in the app packet, nor did she bring a copy to the office before Dec 31st. However, like me, she had the Official TEAS transcripts sent throughout the website.

I told her that she should call the school, and maybe fax in a copy to them. She called.

The woman told my friend to simply mail a copy to the SON office. They also told my friend that the date was not super strict, since they were going to be going over applications for the entire month...lol

Either way, we are all good....

i know.. the wait is going to kill me!!

i'm going in on monday morning to turn in my volunteer paper; hopefully that will keep me good until around April lol

I do, however, plan to not (hopefully) be on here starting april 1st.. I want my acceptance/denial to be a surprise

Actually it may take until end of May for them to let everyone know.

So if we take more classes (not prerequisite classes, just random classes) during these 4-6 months, when do we have to give them an updated version of transcript?

Spring transcripts are due June 26th. THat is to show the Final prerequisite class grades. For any other random summer classes, we probably just have to send any updated transcripts as soon as those grades are posted.

So I went yesterday to turn in my volunteer paper. The lady had a huge stack of applications on her desk since yesterday was the last day to turn them in *bites nails*. Also, I had called CSULA to ask admissions when I needed to turn in my transcripts and the guy on the phone told me not until October, but I also asked again when I went to turn in my grade update paper and they told me Feb. 14th, which is the date they have on the admissions webpage. I had to send them rush delivery in hopes they make it there on time. I'll be mad if I get accepted to nursing program but denied entry to CSULA over miscommunication!!!!!

Don't worry. If you ordered them already, The Transcripts should get there way before February 14th. And if you have your receipt showing you ordered it, you're even more safe.

Ya, when I grabbed my rush transcripts with Fall grades, just before I turned in my nursing app, I also had the transcripts mailed to the other colleges.

Did you guys get like a receipt or some kind of confirmation for turning application in because what if the application gets lost?!
